Concerning taking DVD-Rs to the airport.

I'm leaving to California this monday and was wondering if I can get away with taking things like DVD-Rs and flash carts. Will the guys confiscate them or test the DVD to make sure there's nothing illegal on it? Will they simply not care at all?

I travel on business often. I always carry data backups with me on DVD. They won't have time to go through those things.
