Wow, I just noticed I had so many errors (spelling+grammar/syntax) in my previous post. O.o Though I shouldn't be so surprised, since I wrote it at about 5 AM right after I finished the game and discovered I couldn't fall asleep. On top of that, after I did go to bed, I just had nightmares of how I would always reload and wouldn't have stats high enough for Kei, which was depressing because Himuro's ending seemed to me really sad.

<b>phoenixgoddess27</b>: You were right though, he didn't propose to me, he just confessed, I probably was too tired and was thinking along the lines "propose = he proposed his love, reject or accept?" ...<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Man, I'm so curious! Does he ever get good luck at the New Year's fortunes? Because Kei always got "excellent luck", so I guess though I only went with Himuro during the third year, he probably always get the worst luck, right? Unless dating him right from the start changes that.

Fortunately, today I managed to find a load year before the game ends (January during second year, last semester), so I did get my stats high enough to meet Kei standards and get into the first rate university <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I was so happy that the ending was so positive, though it's kinda not nice that he still doesn't change (as the heroine says when he comments why he chose the same uni). I would have preferred if he went back to his happy, energetic attitude from childhood, rather than the sleepy, easygoing him right now. (by the way, how different is the ending/CG if you don't kiss? Not sure if I want to see it, in case it's not so good.) This time I didn't go with Himuro out at all, to keep him at <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> level and prevent him becoming the "main" guy just by me raising my stats. Did I notice correctly that when I turned down his offer to go on a school trip again when he called me, that he stops calling and only offers them during class? Or was it just a coincidence?

Now, in comparison with Kei, his (Himuro's) ending was just...depressing, once you get to read what happens then, when you accept him. He's just 10 years older! It's perfectly normal for people to marry and have about 5 years difference, so 10 years isn't so much, although some people would think so - though with the Japanese, where many of them look so young, it's kind of not logical. Why can't they just make it a happy ending, saying they're enjoying their time and the age difference doesn't matter, that they will live long together? ... By the way, what's the best ending with him in the future? I didn't know the requirements for the unis, so I applied to second-rate, though at that time I didn't have Art high enough to get there, just into a 3rd rate, so I ended up at the Nursery - weird though, because I did have stats for the specialized school...do you have to apply for it too?

So I was wondering, if you get the Band Clubmaster, do you have a more happy ending with him, the same way you get with Kei the comment how you're enjoying yourselves at the uni and he hasn't changed? I'd love if it said that you're both now musicians and he stopped being teacher or something like that, you know? A cool life music, something like that...I also missed that there were only two scenes about his past in the bar, I would have loved if they included in the game more background and depth, having more time with/to glomp at him...though maybe I feel that way because I did not unlock all of his CGs, though I did get quite a number (I think, given that he began to really like me during the last 3-4 months). I got the crazy driving, him playing the piano at school and being twice in the bar with him. Do you get the feeling that you know each other more if you spend more time with him, than just three months?

What I didn't understand: First of all, why on earth would Kei be so cold to you during the beginning, if he knew you're the one? What would he be "regaining (what he lost)" by that? Or did he just mean that he was cold, and was slowly beginning to be positive and nice to people again?

Second of all, when you get Himuro to <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />/:D, I'm not sure which since his affection/friendship went so high up in such a short time, does he go alone with you on the trips, or with class? I'm pretty sure he takes you alone on study trips to places such as billiard, but why would he then say that you have to wait 10 minutes? I was especially confused when he arrived at the heroine's house, ready to take her for a drive in his car and saying she's early, he wanted to wait 10 minutes till the proper time. O.o Like, what? Is it just a mistake of the game developers who didn't notice this? Because similar thing happened with Kei, who was late on a visit to...his own house.

Third of all, what does Himuro mean by saying "Some of you are in my class for the third time. *something about fate*, give up." when he becomes the class teacher for the third time? The heroine then remarks that she has him for the third time. Does it mean that she should give up on trying to get him, or that people should stop trying to hope to get somebody else? Because the latter seems improbable unless the Japanese actually switch students of parallel classes every year like in some British schools, since he says "some", not all.

And I'm curious whether you can have him as your partner or the person who eats the bread/compliments you during the sports day or not. He can dance with you, so he can do this too, right? ... It'd be so nice if you could see CGs more than once too, like if he were to take you again to his sunset spot and say something different this time, or play the piano for you. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

And last question, do you ever get to see different couples get together? Like Natsumi and Kiyou? I never saw any scenes where you would know they are a couple, I was just invited several times to the amusement park and saw several scenes of Natsumi being sad or knowing she's in love with Kiyou. Though I probably missed this in case it does happens because I befriended Natsumii quite late in the game, so there wasn't enough time/was great friends with Arisawa, but met Morimura during the summer or so - though when I went back to January, and I think I met him only short time earlier than that, I kept getting invites to the amusement park from Arisawa instead of Natsumi

-----

But other than that, the game is really awesome, I really enjoyed being able to see the different - and changing with growing love/friendship - reactions you get from people, it was truly wonderful. I thank you once again many times for allowing me and many others to experience this wonderful game, it's an amazing translation! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Though there are some mistakes still here and there, it's subarashii indeed that the dialogues are so smooth and well done and everything!!

I hope others also enjoy it as much, though it's not healthy or good to be so addicted as I was right now, when I began playing the game on Monday, and except for laser tag game on Tuesday and a 5-hour German course on Wednesday, I pretty much just played on the DS till today (especially on Wed and Thursday/night of Fri, then short sleep, finishing the game again to ge the desired true ending, and then went to sleep again <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />). So I hope people will manage to play it and at the same time not be whisked away into the Tokimeki world like I was. What a journey (though and enjoyable one)! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

...um...can I ask you, my - no, our beloved translators? Could you please when you have the time post a translation of what the characters are saying when you look at their CGs? I don't know much of it, but I did notice that they do say different things then when you get the CG ingame, so I'd love to know what they are their comments. I did understand the Himuro Christmas one though, because of his "Christmas presento", he's saying the song he played was for the heroine, right? Plus maybe something sweet too, like "I played this out of my love for you as my Christmas present for you." *wheeee! Glomp, glomp*

Do you think Natsumi feels something towards Himuro, since she throws the blackboard thing at him, and calls him Himurocchan? Does she like him? And occhan as in old man, or is it meant to be endearing? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Oooh, and why can you nickname him Binary? Is it something regarding how his Japanese name can be read, or just because of his love for...maths I think?

EDIT: Whoa, didn't think it would turn out to be such a long post. In tl;dr - Awesome game and translation!! Pleaz more Himuro and a positive ending with him + CG comments translation nyaa <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />
...I just discovered you can kiss with Reiichi as well...I...probably will...have to play it again, this time with him from the start. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Is it a bad thing? My uni starts on Monday though, don't want to get hooked up again. Though, if it will be a second playthrough...

Morimura seemed quite nice, though he is too much kid like, at first I couldn't believe Arisawa loves him and not somebody more adult-like (at first I thought she wanted Himuro because of her comments how she wanted to ask "the teacher" something after class). Though it makes sense, he can teach her to be relaxed and happy, like he is even when he has top grades. So in that way he's more suitable than anyone else because she would gain true happiness, right? And yeah, he's sooo scrawny, you can see they wanted him to look like a kid even more than Hibiya.
biggrin.gif

And yeah, I can easily picture him needing more attention, since he went from :/ to
frown.gif
just by me either dating several guys (not him though) in a row. Or else I can't imagine what it was, I didn't talk to him or anything, and he didn't even try to bomb me. Maybe because I was at toki state with Ari?

Huh? Doesn't Kei look good enough normally? Though one or two sets of clothes he wears aren't that good, but he does seem good-looking to me

@Fel, most (or maybe all) of your questions can be answered by yourself if you play the game a few more times.
biggrin.gif
For Kei, I think he mentioned it in his confession why he didn't tell you when he met you. For Himuro, it's his personality. Everything must be exactly right on time. For that fate and give up part, he meant that there was no reason to try to figure out why you ended up in his class for all 3 years.

By the way, you girls can just ignore people who visit this thread thinking it's Love Plus translation. They probably wouldn't come back to read what we respond to their comments anyway.
They're just jealous girls are getting translations for their games while they're not getting translations for theirs

By the way, jewel, I've been playing through slowly and couldn't spot any significant grammar error up to now... but I'm playing it very slowly >_

Haha, for the guys you don't like, maybe you will like them after you play other games where you got other characters with that guy's voice.
happy.gif
(Ishida Akira who voiced Morimura got many sweet roles in other games and Yamaguchi Kappei, who voiced Hibiya, is Kudo Shinichi and Kaito Kid in Detective Conan, so I can't hate him.)

By the way, for the ending, some guys will have special CGs only when you choose to do a certain action.
For Kei, if you kiss him, you will miss one CG. (You have to accept without kissing him.)

For Mihara, if you accept his confession right away, you will miss one CG. (You'll have to reject him first.)

And about Love Plus, I think I had mentioned it somewhere before that I joined the translation project for Love Plus when I was still a noob for rom hacking. I learned a few things there that finally motivated me to try hacking Tokimeki game. So I appreciated that project quite a lot. (But the fans are something different, Haha.
biggrin.gif
)

By the way, if anyone is going for the best friend route and is following fireylight's FAQs (the one on gamefaqs.com). Our translations for the questions are quite different from the FAQs because we didn't have enough space to put all the text so we had to alter it. (The one people have problems with is the "special feeling" one. We translated it to "What makes you nervous?" in the game.)

i just think he look slow if he's not in a cg, like his eyes or face arent drawn properly, i'm just talking digital art, his half profile face i don't like, and what's up with his "looking up his nose" pose when he's modeling? so ugly lool

yeah he's one i really went after for his CGs cause the rest of the time i don't think he's pretty and his always sleepy and weirdo character, blah lol

i liked the guy with the accent a lot better, he looked good the whole time, like shibababy lol

Eeehhh! Really!? Hibiya's VA has the same voice actor with Kudo and Kaito? Hibiya's voice seems un...Kudo-ish. Lol...

Anyway, just finish with Kei-kun's path. No matter what some of you guys said, I found Kei-kun so sweet! XDSo far, all texts seem to be translated (On Kei's part, at least) I'm planning to try Mihara's and Kijyou's path. Meanwhile, my sister already finished Suzuka's and Sakuya's path, she's planning Himuro next.

Thank you for translating this game guys and more power.

I seems Shiba is the favorite in TMGS2. Shiba must be the "tall, dark and handsome" that most girl dreams of. What about Saeki?

Also, could anyone trigger Kei's CG in the flea market? I can't seem to trigger that event. I've been trying it for the past 2 years in my game. I make sure that my char went to the flea market alone during the month of August.

Yup, I'm pretty sure I went to the flea market alone during the month of August. I tried it during my 1st, 2nd as well as my third year. No event. I'll try it again later.

I did manage to see his flea market CG as well, it happened during my third year when he was at blushing state. Did he tell you that he likes making rings? I don't remember if you get to know that about him in another CG or when you spend more time with him after a date/in a café after school, but I think that's another requirement.

jjewel+Inori: You're right, it was more of a joyful and at the same time sad outburst about the game I've had there, I've realised now I already knew the answers to most of the questions. It's just as if I needed somebody to confirm them to me, so that I would feel satisfied.

I'd love to play the game again, but I'm not sure if I have the time, with me having so many RPGs unfinished (ToS being now my favourite). It always just sucks you in. So if I do replay the game, I'd like to get the best ending for Himuro and not be sad again. Is my assumption correct, that you get the best ending commentary with him if you become the Band Club Master and choose being in some orchestra as your job? I guessed that Kei's would be first-rate university, that was quite easy, though I'm only 95% sure about Himuro's...

...oh, and if I play again, will I get to know what Himurocchan means (and whatever Natsumi may feel towards him)? Or is it a pun on his name, in case occhan means old man, calling him Himuro and an old man at the same time? Because I always thought old man was pronounced in anime as ojijan, and not occhan, but that's maybe I've just always heard it spoken in a different dialect

Did I make mistake and use Himorocchan in the script? It's supposed to be Himurocchi. It's kind of his pet name. (Like Edgeworth becomes Edgey. Phoenix becomes Nick, or something like that. I think you'll get Hikamicchi in GS2 for Hikami too.) Oh, I forgot to answer about Zero-One or Binary. It's because of his name Reiichi. (Rei = zero and Ichi = one, in Japanese.)

Well, this is the thing that I guess why GS games never made it to the Western gamers. (Or the importer might have to sell the game with Japanese culture reference book.
happy.gif
) I don't even know if the players know why you can't simply call people you just know with their first names. I was thinking about writing some notes about that but I keep forgetting.

By the way, did I really use Himurocchan in the game? If so, please let me know where you spotted it. It really must be Himurocchi, not Himurocchan.

Thanks for clarifying that! I can count to ten, but I didn't know rei was zero. So the nickname in Japanese is just Rei-Ichi, with a pause to distinguish the numbers?
biggrin.gif

And I'm pretty sure I did spot Himurocchan there somewhere I'm not sure now at all if I saw it there, I was playing the game till about 5 AM in the morning, so it's more than probable that I just mistook it later on when I was googling about Himuro. If I did see it there, it was in the nickname selection. Can you use the search function where you've got the translated scripts (or copy paste it somewhere where you can ctrl+f)? That way you could check for sure.
smile.gif
And sorry for scaring you.

Oh, and what's the best career job ending for Himuro, being in the orchestra or getting into a first-rate university? Since his aspiration is for all students to get good results it makes me think it could be uni as well. Best career in the sense that you get a special nice comment about it, like with Kei that you're both together in the uni. I'm asking because I don't want to get kinda sad again if I replay the game with him from the start.
frown.gif

Is there a happy future for Himuro and the Heroine at all? Where you don't get that "oooh, so little time left, such an age difference!" commentary, perhaps changed by having different career option than just the "bad" one like Nursery? Or will a good career choice "just" land you a better commentary how you spend your time together, as I mentioned above?

And thanks again for the translation, it was really fun playing the game!

Ok, so if it's in the nickname choices, then it's Himurocchi. Phew. (You really scared me.
happy.gif
)

You can read some more info about Himuro's name here;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokimeki_Memo...Male_characters

(There will be some more terms like -pyon -nyan -tan -rin, etc for the nicknames in this game and later GS games. I don't know where to find exact references but some anime forums might have answers for you. Otherwise, just treat them as pet names.)

And for the ending
No, there aren't any better options for Himuro's ending. You might have your better future, like in first rate univ. or company but your relationship with him will still have age difference and stuff.

I might release another patch with fix for Hibiya's baseball part some time this weekend. (So, it's not gonna be the final patch yet. I'll wait for some more error reports before finalize it then.)

You can read some more info about Himuro's name here;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokimeki_Memo...Male_characters

(There will be some more terms like -pyon -nyan -tan -rin, etc for the nicknames in this game and later GS games. I don't know where to find exact references but some anime forums might have answers for you. Otherwise, just treat them as pet names.)
I've read the info on Wikipedia few days ago, I was glad then that I discovered why he has a cold-related nickname.

Fortunately I am familiar with most "pet" terms from some anime and mainly from Tsubasa:Reservoir Chronicles, where you hear several in every volume. Just the occhi wasn't that familiar to me.

And for the ending
No, there aren't any better options for Himuro's ending. You might have your better future, like in first rate univ. or company but your relationship with him will still have age difference and stuff.
But that's just so sad! Isn't it? ...do you really think 10 years is that much for them to make the ending seem so sad, or is it just me/it feels better if you get a "good" career choice?
Anyway, I remember that I got four "pages" or so of the future and only one line sentence about the bad job, so I hope with a better career option the better future has more lines.

Or should I not get my hopes up?
Can you actually talk to Himuro or witness a scene where somebody talks with him in TMGS2? I know it happens in TMGS3, but he doesn't look so cute there anymore.

Do you get any hints in the latter games if he has or had any girlfriend?
By the way, can you get a kiss ending at the beach as well from him? And I guess both his best friend confession are different from what he says to you in the normal ending, right? ...and why do I keep on reading that it's much harder to get him than any other guy, including Ikkaku? Or does that count just for the ps2 version? Since I got him accidentally really...
