Hacking Compatible drive?

I have a DiamondMax 10 PATA Ultra DMA133 7200 RPM 160Gb HDD

I have the drive partitioned with a 160Gb WBFS partition.

CFG USB Loader will see it and the games, and load the games, but after a few mins, the wiimote becomes unresponsive.
The lights on them go off and you cannot turn them back on.
The games continue to run though.

I have all the correct IOS's installed as I have a 40Gb drive which works completely fine.
The other HDD is a Seagate IDE HDD.

Is it the PATA that isn't 100% compatible?
Or is there something else I can do or another loader I can use?
Will a smaller partition help?

Check this list to see if it is compatible.
Your drive may not be fully compatible or might be going to sleep.

If its going to sleep, would that cause the wiimotes to stop working?
How can I stop it?
