Hacking Compatibility. New to softmodding!

Basically just soft modded my wii for the first time using this tutorial: http://gbatemp.net/t171901-modify-any-wii-4-3-below

I don't really understand how to get better compatibility etc. Which backup loader should I use and will it be compatible with most games without stuffing around (kirby, super mario galaxy, new super mario bros etc) or do you have to keep using different backup loader / ios's for good compatibility?

Is there something else I should do after that tutorial to get better compatibility?

Personaly I would use fat32/ntfs with wbfs.

Wiiflow has great compatability.

Since you used this guide, you have cIOS 249 rev20 base 56

Just use wiiflow 249 and everything you run fine:

You should consider greatly usb loading its much more practical and it will keep your wii in shape for years as disc loading will wear out your optical drive. Just burn the big size iso if you dont have a lot of space. new super mario for example is 350mb usb drives are getting cheaper and cheaper now.
