Browsing playeradvance I was linked to EA's site where they are offering a copies of Command and Conquer gold (both the GDI and NOD versions (for those unaware GDI and NOD are the two main factions in the game although the situation can be likened to pokemon red and blue)).

    ISO download here:

Good to know they finally have the iso download up (been checking the site for a while only now got a working download going though hella slow). Anyway I wouldn't say NOD and GDI are as close as pokemon blue and red [IMG].

The download will most likely be taken down by the end or after september according to some forum posts on the official C&C boards, so make sure you get it now if you want it! [IMG]

Nice, but looks pretty popular. Going at 7 kb/s atm.

Oh it should be popular as the original C&C still honestly is the best one if you want a fair fight. Later editions tried to make things harder the dumb way by giving the enemies unfair advantage through already being vastly built up, able to pull off things they shouldn't be able to so quickly, lots of stupid hair trigger like fail missions, and other annoyances. C&C from after RA just was awful to me, gave up on the series as it had the same annoyance factor as like rubberband AI is to Ridge Racer...can't get a fair fight as it'll rubber band some BS in there to level the field if you get advantage yet the same can't be said when you're on the other end of a beating.

Highly recommend grabbing this game. I've had it for a few years now on CDs after failing to get my old DOS one to play nice anymore. This, Warcraft 2 (and 1) and the original Dune rank as my favs of this style of gaming.

heh I actually bought that game when it still was in the full sized PC box. I had it installed on my server in case I got bored transferring files [IMG] The old one requires a patch for windows xp, not sure if this one is prepatched or not but it'd make sense if it is.
