Hello all, so I have a gateway. I like it. Im trying to set it up to coldboot into gateways emunand. But Im having trouble understanding what I need to do because every tutorial I see shows this method using RXtools or Reinand or Cake and all that CFW jazz.

Can someone tell me what i need to do to make it work with my Gateway?

Do I just install the coldboot and menuhax or something like that? And I have to install it using the sysnand and not when Im in emunand, right?

Im sorry if all this sounds jumbled, but thats because it doesn't make much sense to me in my mind. Its like its in fragments. Any help is appreciated :D

::EDIT:: Using n3ds 9.0.0-20U sysnand/10.4 emunand

1. Install menuhax with menuhax manager 2.1

2. Go to configure haxx/trigger

3. Choose type 2, hold any two buttons and touch the touch screen

4. Now that you have menuhax installed to autoboot, it will look for boot.3dsx to autoboot from. Add Gateway's launcher.dat to the root, then add their homebrew launcher to SD:/3ds/GW/GW.3dsx

5a. Copy GW.3DSX to the root of the SD card, rename it and it will autoboot using that

5b. Download CTR Boot Manager . Add the boot.3dsx and boot.cfg files on the root

-Edit the boot.cfg file to include Gateway like so:
{
title = Gateway
path = "/3ds/GW/GW.3dsx";
},

Add this entry to the top of the list, so that it's default for autobooting.

Overall this takes more configuration, but CTR boot manager has other uses if you can figure it out.

Do this

Setup menuhax to autoboot

Once done add the newest launcher to the sd.

Take the GW.3dsx and rename boot.3dsx and replace the file on the root of the sd

This should automatically boot to GW now

Oh wow I didn't get any notifications on this thread, sorry for not replying back. I will try your postings when I get home from work. Thanks so much for helping!

@MattKimura : Wouldn't I lose the ability to load up the HBL if I remove its boot.3dsx?
