Bandai Namco's upcoming action RPG, Code Vein, has received a new trailer, and this time, we get some more gameplay to look at. The minute-and-a-half long video gives us a hint at how combat will be like, appearing more and more like an "anime Dark Souls" with every new look we get. The footage is also displayed at 60fps, though there are some clear stutters in the framerate throughout the video. Code Vein still lacks a specific release date, but it'll launch sometime this year for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.

With all the information they released about this game, I am surprised there is no release date yet.

Looks fun, but I think more enemies in one area would be nice.

I hate the shitty looking cutscene finishers.
It looks more Monster Hunter than Dark Souls in terms of combat, just because it looks rather clunky. Enemies seem very robotic and unresponsive. That could just be a bad choice of mobs and weapons though.
They've just gone with some aesthetic choices to make it look more Soulsy if anything.

I'm very interested, but I do hope gameplay continues to improve. This is definitely a lot better than we saw before, so that's a good sign. Since it still lacks any release date it's clearly still being polished and worked on.

Id get this for the Switch if it came out on it.

Never played a dark souls game, dislike the artistic aesthetic, but this game looks really Damn nice, what with the anime themed art they're using for it.
