Doing lots of testing and getting code dumps frequently. I was doing a Nand backup recently and noticed 2 black dots in the nand area (not sure if they were there previously).
I was wondering if getting "Code dumps" can harm the:
1. SD card
2. USB HDD
3. Wii Nand
4. Other (memory...)
5.All of the above

I've seen a Wii with some bad blocks straight out of the factory. Usually no more than two or three, I don't think it's anything to be worried about.

With my own Wii, I've gotten a lot of code dumps throughout it's life and I have zero bad blocks. I think it's just random.

code dumps wont hurt the hardware. A wii can leave the factory with up to 80 bad blocks and it will pass.

Yes, its very common for manufactures to buy bigger chips with bad blocks because its a lot cheaper than buying a correct sized chip with 0 bad blocks.

iirc my Wii got 6 or 7 bad blocks.

Yup, my wii has had bad blocks ever since I got it. Many, many code dumps later and nothing has changed, so you should be fine. ;)

Lol if only I counted how many code dumps I got while trying to fix my 2.5tb bug with WiiMC.
No. I'm pretty sure code dumps can not harm the hardware.
