Wow, that's pretty awesome! Even I have trouble seeing some of the enemies sometimes, and I'm not color blind.
It's nice to see that they're trying to reach everyone.
I have a feeling that this will lead to most 'elite' players using colour-blind mode even though they're not as it is most probably easier to see enemies that way.
lets hope it while not be easier for the elite players
I remember now that there's a colorblind mode for every Valve games
Black Ops already has a (somewhat incomplete) color-blind assist feature.
What's more interesting is that they previously announced that they were adding new control schemes to assist handicapped gamers. I wanna see how that will turn out.
Huh....My friend is color blind so he'd like this....Guess I better tell him. If this works well though I'd kinda want to see this in more games.
How about you release a game that is not glitchy as hell upon release first before adding a colour-blind feature that probably took five lines of code to add?
Glitchy as hell? What makes you say that?
MW2 had the ridiculously OP Model 1887's at launch, along with the care package speed glitch and the insanely annoying care package/EAD duplication glitch which took almost 2 months IIRC to patch
That's all that comes to mind ATM.
if you think it only took five lines of code, you're implying it was an easy feature to add that didn't take much time or effort, and therefore shouldn't have any impact on the debugging of the game, or cause the developers to lose any time that can go towards removing bugs or glitches.
so what's the problem?
Check this out.
EDIT: Bleh, that link is so outdated. It's still relevant, but I'll look for a more complete list.
EDIT2: Here's a list of Black Ops patch changes up to 1.07. This isn't complete (the game is up to 1.10), but it has more than my previous link.
The problem is that they're focusing on features that'll probably account for less than 2% of their audience while blatantly ignoring issues that will affect the ENTIRE audience as a whole.
Come on, just color blind option? I want new weapons, maps and more.
People are taking this news way too heavily. No, the colorblind assist feature won't be a major feature of the game, so stop acting like it will be. Big deal, they have bigger issues to work on. But it's not like the whole dev team dropped everything to work on a really simple minor feature.
Um...hooray? Actually this can benefit people.
Notice how I went a sentence and a half without any negative CoD comments.
Yeah, when I saw that you posted on the homepage, I expected "Hurr CoD and Xbox suck durr." Good job.
BO had a color blind option
Pretty sure MW2 did too.
If mw2 didnt then it makes sense since infinity ward makes MW games.
