Real CNET staffs do not start their names with CNET. I have seen them on REAL CNET forums. REAL Cnet staffs are actually much more lenient than this. People calling CNET idiotic and stupid, they don't even close the topic, and respond with something along the line of "sorry for the inconvenience". I'm going to post on CNET forums and ask the staff if they REALLY bought GBAtemp, and if not, we'll see you with your cocks hanging out.

I wake up and I see people still aren't being very nice. If people weren't so hostile, they wouldn't be so hostile back!

    Fixed.

Also, I was thinking of emailing them myself, but didn't want to go through the bother :/

Good luck Westside, I hope you have enough claymores.

I believe the CNET thing is real. After all, they said Santa wasn't real, and look how that turned out. [IMG]

It's just a bad joke being put together. Remember those 'CNET guys'?
Let's take their names and userID's:

    121950: CNET_Adam
    121951: CNET_Peter
    121952: CNET_Ryan
    121953: CNET_Ian
    121954: CNET_Liam

The GBAtemp crew could have at least tried to make this less obvious.

...and they could've tried to get someone from gamespot or CNET to do a fake corp. press release about purchasing gbatemp.net. It would've been slightly more believeable to the gullible that way.

Me, I picked it out as an April Fools' Day joke in the first couple of seconds.

    Epic fail.

This is an obvious April Fools day joke. What's amusing is how far gbatamp is taking it. Ok, ha ha, funny logo and CNET bar with the announcement. But then ending the thread saying it's not a joke... Part of April Fools is to do the joke ("announcement") then let people chat about and remark about the joke. Not be all "this is no joke". Puts a lame end to a good joke.

I can't believe anybody is actually gullible enough to believe this.

Hey, while you're at it, go look up stuff on Google Australia's future site to tell me what the lottery numbers are for the powerball for tomorrow. I need to win a few million dollars.

    Thanks.

People just take April Fool's too seriously. I mean, e-mail C|Net? Come on... Just endure for 24 hours, man... [IMG]

That was nice with the initials, laurenz. I would never pick up on that detail...
