I hope this was the right place to post this. If not, moderator, please place in the correct place and drop and note to me so I may know better next time..

I tried seeking an answer to this everywhere else, on and off site, before posting this here, even Nintendo themselves, but have recieved no satisfactory answer.

I suspect our fine GBAtemp Brain-trust can unwind this tangled web Nintendo weaves if anyone can...

Disclaimer: Let me first point out that this whole problem may be the direct or indirect result of myself not fully understanding this system of linking the nick names to the Nintendo account....

Wanted Result? To Keep Coins/Surveys/register games on Second (really both) systems (I'll call this system "B"

Problem:

Short Version: I have two systems, 3ds, both are registered (the consoles pin) on club nintendo, the nickname from the orignal system is name linked but the nickname from the second and later system is not linked to this account, as per their restrictions. The games downloaded on the 2nd system are not registering on club nintendo, coins not appearing, read longer version for details..

(I have called them, they assured me, the games/coins/surveys would show up [on club Nintendo account]as I bought them, although I doubted the answer to be correct.)

Long Version:
I have a 3ds (Ambassador) transfered to an 3ds (XL) call it System "A"

System "A" Has my name 'Syfyty' Linked to my Club Nintendo account. I have 77 games on it and have been getting coins etc on it for some time. I just used my platinum reward (from "A") and downloaded Donkey Kong Country Returns and more recently Kirbys Dreamland to system "B" which has my other Nickname Redhorse (not name/ linked to the account but console registered on it Name not linked because only one is allowed of course.

How can I receive coins from BOTH systems on that club nintendo account, or is this not possible? I try creating another/separate club nintendo account but as soon as I did this, I entered the system (console numbers, it automatically linked my system, and my actual (real name) name back to my original (first) club nintendo account. I told them of this when I spoke to them on the phone, as this was no attempt to deceive them, I thought this might be allowed, they didn't indicate that is wasn't allowed either...

They had no response for this.... When asked how they expected to have more than one system registered but only one receiving coins, even the club N rep thought that was dumb. I told her "You realize I'm stating the obvious when I say that if Nintendo were to make these damd things account based this would all be a moot point right?" , she agreed as best she could in a manner that she could not be called on it by her supervisors later (but you could tell she really agreed) on when the call was played back, if it was played back...
Her only response to the issue was that as I bought (and paid) for games on system "B" the games/surveys/coins would show up in my club nintendo account.. I bought two yesterday to check this theory, it is not correct. The two games I bought are not showing up in the account. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ANYWAY any suggestions on how to get those coins or what to do would be appreciated. would really help.
Thanks

Update:
after four calls to nintendo, here's the solution one 'kid' who works for them came up with; do a system transfer from the 3ds (which is not linked to the eshop, which would wipe out the present 77 games (, he's under the assumption I would be able to re download the games, as though both consoles had been on one, since only one had a system link and had the games registered. It sounds nighty suspicious to me. I'm not sure I want to risk 77 games, as I can see two potential problems with this#1) the system won't allow the transfer in the first place as there is no NNID (the games aren't registered) or

IF it does allow the transfer of the (initial four) games, once that is done, the next step of re-down loading the (77) games is blocked since not all games were downloaded to the same system originally (console; as per registered numbers) 77 registers to system A, 4 from system B. This conflict could leave me without a 3ds and Nintendo unwilling to help correct it even though they helped me get into it.

Since no one here offered any solutions, I guess I'm left with coming up with my own. Interesting...

Just to mention that I read your whole problem, and wish you luck, but I don't know what to suggest.

[Obviously you shouldn't make the transfer as it'll erase all the games from the old system (and you won't get them back).]

Are you signed into your club nintendo account on both 3ds' in the eshop? I have 2 3ds' and I receive coins from both, but I had to sign into club nintendo on the 3ds when I went into the eshop to do so. Just registering the console on club nintendo wasn't enough (as you could sell or trade it, and they wouldn't want you receiving coins from someone else's purchase)

@Psionic Roshambo i didn't go amd for one specific reason, the AI performance is way behind nvidia
    +1

    i just got a 4070ti
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
oh yeah also DLSS is a pretty solid reason to go nvidia since fidelityfx is kinda crap
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and now with the rtx video upscaling, and sdr->hdr conversion, even more reason to go nvidia
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
both of which work well in potplayer
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
