it has been awhile since i picked the wii back up. i got so discouraged with the lack of support NOA was giving us so it has been on the shelf for 2 years lol. i still have wiiflow 2.1 installed (this how out of date i am lol) and i have a good idea on how to get updated with the new cios and wiiflow mod et etc....my questions are:

my hdd is still formated to wbfs. i want to format to fat32. now with fat32 you can add roms and emulators and are able to boot wii channels straight from wiiflow correct?

also if i burn my wii games from wiiflow... will it cause a problem if i burn them in fat32?

anyhelp or advice is much apprecaited. thanks

    i am currently 4.3u. homebrew 1.0.8 softmoded

In all cases where there was an error and the reporter actually wanted it fixed I was able to do so.
And it has a backup function.
So I consider it save. But adsolutely save? I would not go quite that far.
If you have games that you can not rip again anymore consider backing them up to a PC first.
You still will save the time and space since you only copy them only once instead of twice and you don't need to copy all of them.

On fat there is a maximum file size of a little bit under 4GiB.
Some games are larger even in scrubbed wbfs format.
The solution was to split the game into multiple files .wbfs .wbf1 .wbf2 ...
At first they were split into 2GiB files, later ~4GiB.
The loaders should be able to deal with any reasonable file sizes you like.
When I wrote wbfs2fat it was easiest to use 4GiB - 1 wbfs block.

Make sure you read the tutorial too if you don't already have.
