Hello,

I had a problem when I removed a GUITAR HERO 5 music from WII memory : The game stop responding during this action so I think the memory has not been cleaned properlly :

In theory I was expecting to be back to 400 blocks (has foreseen by GUITAR HERO 5) but finally I reached only 330 blocks when I restarted the WII.

With any title deleter mod v6b I have idenfied the following in the disc game title savedata list

ID: 00010000-00555050 - ASCII Code: .UPP - Type: Disc Game Title (savedata) - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS4

this is completely different than the usual case like :

ID: 00010000-525a5450 - ASCII Code: RZTP - Type: Disc Game Title (savedata) - Name: Wii Sports Resort

So i wonder if there is an interest to remove it and if it will save some WII memory.

Is there something that is able to detect garbage in wii memory and clean it ?

Same for channels,

How can you identify precisely which channels shall be kept and which should be removed :

for example from this list :

ID: 00000001-00000004 (IOS4) - Name: IOS4
ID: 00010005-73594f50 - ASCII Code: sYOP - Type: Downloadable Game Content - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS56
ID: 00010004-52465050 - ASCII Code: RFPP - Type: Game that use Channels - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS53
ID: 00010001-4e454f47 - ASCII Code: NEOG - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35
ID: 00010001-44324d50 - ASCII Code: D2MP - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35
ID: 00010001-53474841 - ASCII Code: SGHA - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35
ID: 00010001-4a4f4449 - ASCII Code: JODI - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS61
ID: 00010001-48545249 - ASCII Code: HTRI - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35
ID: 00010001-554e454f - ASCII Code: UNEO - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35
ID: 00010001-57545450 - ASCII Code: WTTP - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: Toki Tori
- IOS required: IOS35
ID: 00010001-4257474c - ASCII Code: BWGL - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35

Thanks

Olivier

I did some analysis and I think I identified a few things :

ID: 00010001-4e454f47 - ASCII Code: NEOG - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: NEOGAMMA
ID: 00010001-44324d50 - ASCII Code: D2MP - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: MPLAYER
ID: 00010001-4a4f4449 - ASCII Code: JODI - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: HBC
ID: 00010001-48545249 - ASCII Code: HTRI - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: TRIIFORCE MRC
ID: 00010001-554e454f - ASCII Code: UNEO - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: USB LOADER GX
ID: 00010001-4257474c - ASCII Code: BWGL - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: WII BACKUP CHANNEL

So I need only to identify this channel :

ID: 00010001-53474841 - ASCII Code: SGHA - Type: Installed Channel Title - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS35

and this savedata which is strange :

ID: 00010000-00555050 - ASCII Code: .UPP - Type: Disc Game Title (savedata) - Name: ? - IOS required: IOS4

and obviously I'm still interested in a way to free some WII memory blocks.

I'd just suggest copy anything you arent using to SD or HD to free up some space and save you a lot of fiddling with it. There's got to be something there you dont need or dont use on the wii.
