    as the title.
thought online-banned ppl might need this.

if u dont want a fresh start, extract your current player1-3 profiles and inject them to this clean dump.

go check the mhgu save edtior post. https://gbatemp.net/threads/mhgu-save-editor.515460/page-12#post-8273349
it's for xx to gu, but also work as player slot immigration, it can transfer your current player slot to the clean save.

I try to do my best with my english.

    1) make a save of your character (saveNODLC) with Edizon by example

    2) import the "clean save" and create a trash character

    3) make a save (saveDLC) of this trash character

    You do must have :
    - saveNODLC (your character)
    - saveDLC (clean save with trash character)

    4) Use Hex Editor

    5) Open saveNODLC
Select the hexa adress (indicated by bottom info) 18CC9C until 2A9D23 (total lenght of 11D088)
    Copy that selection

    6) Open saveDLC
Select the hexa adress (indicated by bottom info) 18CC9C until 2A9D23 (total lenght of 11D088)
    Past the selection (by erase)

    7) save the modification and inject saveDLC on SWITCH

I am trying to edit this file with Monster Hunter save editor, however it says I need to create an in-game slot first.

Could you upload a clean savegame with all the DLC with a character already in a slot?
I am trying to work something out (GenU Switch with all DLC savegame to XX 3DS for crossplay reasons)

better not doing it. xx has more dlcs than gu.
cross save between gu and xx require manually hex editing if you want a “perfect” transfer.

iirc, for xx 3ds, u can just download dlcs on console.

Hi! I was able to follow all the steps, but somehow when I inject the modified SAVEDLC and start the game, it says it's corrupted, and then doesn't recognise the SD card, only solution was injecting my original save (no DLC) with my own character. Any ideas?

EDIT: I was able to make it work, when editing on hex and saving the updates, just copy over the "system" file to the switch, and make the restore. This way it worked, loaded my main char and then went to the house to claim rewards!

i don't think you gave me the correct segment of your slot.
player slot without in-game customizable string I mentioned in the other thread should be 11d088 bytes.

if you want others to help, please upload your original save dump

how to ensure the dlcs were there? I mean now I don't remember if my char was created with this save or not. I backup my save then I tested it by deleting the save in data management, then create new save and check the bonus contents but they were the same
edit: today I tried again and fresh save can't claim dlc items, seem I was mistake somewhere

I tried this and it didn't work with my save (which was converted manually from MHGen->MHXX->MHGU) I realize my character adress is different from this "Clean save with DLC" save (which is 18CC9C to 2A9D23) - this might be the reason some people can't make it work.
Then I found the method: just Ctrl+F to search for you character name, then from that adress select the total block length of 11D088.
Screenshots (I marked my char name): On the left is save with DLC. On the right is my save (no DLC)
Save with DLC. Save no DLC.

the offsets for the start of each save slot should be within the first 16 bytes, no needs to search
