Last build is very good.
But i have a questioin.
I've seen the build with UI where was buttons for stuff like: Pause Stop Restart Speed UP Speed Down and etc.
Will UI will be updated anytime?

I actually had a question about Citra, both the unofficial and official versions, and it's about how Citra handles games. Does Citra use OpenGL? And if it does why does it not use Direct3D, since across all the emulators I've used Direct3D has led to faster speeds? I'm sorry if i'm coming off as ignorant, I'm just not that knowledgeable about how emulation actually works, and the more I know the better off I will be.

Yes Citra uses OpenGl and reasons for not using Direct X is because its not cross platform and Citra is maintained for Mac, Linux and Windows. Maybe in the future we'll see Direct X support for Windows.

Thanks. That actually does make more sense when you put it that way. I do hope that we can get DirectX Support in the future, or even the Vulkan Render supported.

Lets make it actually use our GPUs first~
Because for now it only outputs rendered image in OpenGL. Almost all the video calculations are still done on CPU and not GPU. Thankfully that will change very soon.

kinda. heres a graph of whats citra uses the gpu for now:

it does a gl fragment shader and per sample ops on the gpu in addition to storing textures on the gpu.

there are some fallbacks to the other pipelines if something goes wrong. all the old code is still there in case your graphics card is pure garbage and its faster for you to use the cpu rendering steps. also this chart could be wrong. i'm trying to get someone to fact check me but no one is doing that >.< (cough phantom pls) (Wwylele made the first one a long time ago, and I just took it and will be putting it in the next progress report when this goes live)

Sounds good to me. Can't wait for the update (My Poor computer can't handle the emulator, and I really want to use it for rom hacks) :(

I remembered long ago when someone is working on Citra with Vulcan support. It was livestreamed on Twitch. Not sure if he finishes it.

Ha ha, I have more or less the same problem. I'm using a core 2 duo E7500 which has a gtx 650, all assembled from second hand parts I've been "scavenging". Up until now I've been able to play some games at a more or less decent speed with the unofficial Citra versions, but I wonder if using that graphic card would produce a significant speed increase in Citra when they release the gpu supporting version.

we are bumping the version number for multiplayer because of some new changes (that may break things horribly who knows) b3n30 is continuing to try to fix the broken games and he made a change that needed a version bump. update to the latest canary to use the multiplayer
