I would go for png, if only for parity with other emulators. Would there be a significant performance impact from using compressed png as opposed to uncompressed bmp? Anyway, I'd appreciate a download link as soon as it's implemented even if it's unstable, there are some ugly textures in Samus Returns I'd love to try and upgrade. P.S.: It seems your build only ran MHX slower in the hub, during actual gameplay it runs slightly better than the other builds.
