Hi Guys. I don't know if this would be the right place to post about this but I've been having some trouble with my citra speed recently. I've already tried a bunch of things to make it run faster (restarting my laptop, and cleaning out my computer of unwanted programs) but it still runs at 4 fps. I've also tried changing some things in the emulation settings but nothing changes. I'm attempting to record Pokémon sun for YouTube and it's really annoying because I have to record for 1.5 hours just for a 20 minute video. If you guys could help me that would be awesome.

actually north korea. please send help
I honestly think the problem might be because you're using a laptop, unless you're using some sort of gaming laptop.

I will admit that my laptop isn't the best but my friend uses the same one and has no problems.

When I first installed citra last month. I tried installing it before that but it never seemed to boot up correctly.

What are the specs of your laptop? If the CPU is anything lower than an I3, then its pretty futile to get any performance from it. Intel HD is also not supported but can work (albeit slowly) Considering that even on a mid/high end desktop PC, there are speed problems, it is more than likely the low power of the laptop together with possible throttling. (Unless you have one of the £4000 ultra high end laptops which you mentioned that you do not have)

Lenovo G50-45. It's only about a year old. Some parts of the game run at 100% speed though which is what I don't understand

Ahh Lenovo G50-45. I assume it is AMD CPU. These have less than half the single core performance than something such as an I3/I5/I7. Even if the emulator uses multiple cores, each core needs to be sufficiently strong to get decent performance. On a weaker CPU you will experience some bursts of faster framerate then slow again. It also does not have a dedicated GPU which does not help. Not much you can do I am afraid apart from maybe trying to tweak settings and/or resolution (helps for bottlenecked GPU areas)
