Does it matter what region you use with the patches available? Like if I used the JPN version of Dementium II, would that still work somehow? Or are there title id's listed somewhere?

Sort of, I am not sure. I actually develop and test my mods on Desmume, it has pretty nice scripting capabilities with Lua. The problem is that I don't think there is a way to read an input from an analog stick of an actual gamepad, at least I couldn't do it under Wine. I ended up using my mouse to emulate the CPad. Don't know anything about other emulators.
So if it's possible to write your own scripts and somehow work with a gamepad, then it probably would be possible to play with my mods on those emulators. Not without editing of course (huge chunk of these mods deal with 3ds specific stuff), but it would be the simplest part

Did you try looking into this?

I would expect not, as your DS emulator isn't emulating the 3DS hardware!
There is a special build of DeSmuME that gives you analog movement in Mario 64 using a fictional GBA-slot analog stick dongle.
I am not aware of analog mods for any other DS games in emulators. Maybe ask the creator of the SM64 DeSmuME mod for details of how they got the game to accept GBA-slot signals as touchscreen input? It might be possible to implement it in other games that use the touchscreen for analog movement.

Hi, I wanted to ask about this mod for Super Mario 64 DS.

My intention was to have a forwarder in the menu of this game with the widescreen and analog plus control the camera with the c stick / ZR ZL, the other DS games would play on a R4 or original cartridges.

So from forwarders it would only be Mario and two other DS games (Marth's Fire Emblem, because due to the spanish translation patch in the R4 they don't work but in the forwarder they work perfect).

The thing is that as I have seen, when using TWPatch, it automatically applies the widescreen in all compatible games, including original cartridges and R4, which does not work for me, because I like how DS games look on a NEW 3DS, the only one I would like to patch the Widescreen and controls is Super Mario 64 DS.

So, is there any method to patch only Super Mario 64 DS without affecting any other games?

Question:
I've noticed after installing the usrcheat.dat file for the circle pad, I noticed that none of my other games in Twilightmenu have their cheats. And the only ones with cheats are those with the circle pad cheat.

Is there any way to keep both the circle pad and regular cheats for all games or am I only stuck with the circle pad cheats?

An app exists for Android called Rekado which is a payload injector for the RCM exploit to work. Don't know if it's still active.

@imafsiry, What method? Phone or RCM Loader?
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
@imafsiry You just install Rekado to your phone and then plug your Switch into your phone when it's in RCM mode. Rekado should automatically pop up on your phone and ask which payload you want to send.

@imafsiry You can also set it to auto launch the payload of your choice so no user input is even necessary.

thats what i use also. works better if you launch hekate from rekado as you won't need to update the payload

  • TotalJustice @ TotalJustice:
as hekate launches the latest payload on the sd card (unless the sent payload is newer)
