Which base IOS do you recommend? I want to install only two d2x-cIOS and can't decide between IOS56, IOS57 and IOS38. Which option should I use?

a) IOS56 + IOS57
b) IOS56 + IOS38
c) IOS57 + IOS38

Option A is the most widely recommended. Whether that's the best is entirely up to the individual user, but it's what probably the vast majority of use are using.

Put base 37 and 38 in 248 and 247 if you want.

Yeah, correctly me if I'm wrong, but from what I've read 99% of the games run on base 56 and the other 1% can run on 57. Assuming that is true, why have anything else?

AFAIK they're actually useless.

Personally I've never even had to use anything other than 56. Compatibility is damn good. Is there a list somewhere of games that really NEED another base?

cus my conduit 2 pal is runing on ios 56, unless u mean ios 57 for play online, other than that it conduit 2 both works on 56 and 57.

I've been unable to get Mortal Kombat to work. It is PAL version of the game. It hangs at the CFG USB Loader screen "Loading game: ......"

Anything special I need to do?

Mortal Kombat (Armaggedon) is an IOS reloading game.
You can use a d2x v6 cIOS in combination with CFG v69 (which would activate automatically ios_reload_block), or in CFG go to the game settings and select alt-dol > disc > MK7.dol and save (that way you'll bypass the IOS reload and go straight to the game).

I suspect you mean the base IOSs?
For what use?

You only need one slot with cIOS base 56
And a second for games that need a base with 57.

This gives you 100% compatibilty as far as I know.
