i had an issue with games crashing after an hour or so playing once upon a time (the problem was actually the reason i created an account here at gbatemp)...on a computer the drive worked fine....ultimately, it ended up being a HDD problem....not saying this IS what your problem is, but don't rule it out....(my HDD crash was accompanied by drive noise, but i doubt it has too. also, i could avoid the crash with a jump to the system menu, but i'd have to power the wii down/up before it would let me play games again)bobthebigbat said:I'm having similar problems with all the games I've tried recently. After playing for a while (maybe not as long as two hours) the wiimote loses sync and/or the game start running really, really slow. If I can get the game to respond to the home button to bring up the menu then the wiimote works OK on that (no evidence of slowdown), but returning to the game brings the problem back. I have to restart the wii to get it working properly again.
Setup: cIOS249[56]-v21d2x6 & cfgUSB 69c (using all default settings: ios reload block - on for all games) FAT32 partition (had sync problem with cIOSx rev21, but now fixed). It happens with games that need ISO reload blocking and games that don't.
I haven't tried with IOS reload blocking off for those that don't need it or been able to pinpoint the exact version where it started. It wasn't a problem I noticed prior to the IOS reload blocking, but as it takes so long before happening I can't be sure.
i confirmed the HDD issue by downloading/running a HDD diagnostic tool (DataLifeGuard i think...)....luckily, it was under warranty...RMA'd it and have been smiling ever since (i've since setup, outgrew, and sold off ~6 drives for my wii...haven't had a problem other that first one)
