Rename it EHCI.app and replace the old module in d2x v6beta1 with this one:
http://www.multiupload.com/8A4CDBE8K2

Please test wiiflow cover issue too.

I also confirm, it works to DL covers and make wfc

I use wiiflow_250 R254 with cIOS250[57]-v21d2x6-beta1 with this EHCI module... all my games are on "defaut" in IOS menu but if I change this parameter, "defaut" disappears... there are no more than my other cIOS

ps: Is since the V3 that this problem appeared
Yes, thats correct actually, Wiiflow supports the new cIOS naming but not fully.
Thats why you can't change to another cIOS slot except if you have hermes cIOSes also installed.

Temporary solution would be to rename the d2x cIOS version numbers to 21 with Showmiiwads.

Yeah, this is the only way to get WiiFlow to recognize d2x cIOSes, but then IOS reload blocking no longer works with CFG... so take your pick

I have made changes in cfg, to support the new cIOS identification for IOS Reload Block.
I have post the changes, that oggzee can use them in the next Release: http://gbatemp.net/t147638-configurable-us...t&p=3689399

Can you install d2x into two different slots, one for WiiFlow with version changed to 21 and one as normal for CFG?

is there anyway to create a forwarder channel so that we wouldn't have to install a new version of the cIOS Installer every time it's updated? thanks

Your request is not a forwarder channel... In v2.0 you will be able to update to new cIOS without changing the installer
happy.gif

I would still like a forwarder channel, I like to have it on the Wii menu screen rather than having to go through the HBC, hope someone can create it? thanks

Yes, the last Release of the cfg USB Loader implements the new identification, but not for detecting that the cIOS Support the IOS Reload Block.
Look at the sys.c, its up to date: http://code.google.com/p/cfg-loader/source/detail?r=295
Yes, you're right. Sorry.
Oggzee confirmed that cfg at the moment uses the new ident only for information, not for actual logic.
And he will include your change.

just install a wad manager forwarder channel, or mmm, or whatever, then use that to launch a wad manager to install new d2x WADs

a forwarder channel for a cIOS installer hasn't been made before (AFAIK), if you really want to put in the effort, check out customize mii and u'll be able to figure out how to put together your own cIOS Installer forwarder channel

hi
i notice that d2x don't work with game like tony hawk's shred (o ride). They use an usb reciver that don't turn on if i run the gam with cios d2x but work correctly only with hermes and ios reload fix on.

I have modified d2x cIOS Installer 1.2 to add the 2 Korean Key Support patches to base 56, and then tested it, and it worked.

It allowed The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess KOR (RZDK01) and Animal Crossing: City Folk KOR (RUUK01) to load properly via both NeoGamma R9 beta 49 and CFG USB Loader v69b1 on my non-Korean Wii without crashing.

So far, I have only tested this with base 56... when I have some more time (hopefully tomorrow), I will add the 2 patches to other IOS bases within the d2x cIOS Installer, and test them out.

Ok, very good.
Maybe contact airline38 for more exhaustive tests.
IIRC he owns a korean wii.

Where can I get the test version of d2x6 beta2 ?

Note: there is no need Korean key patached cIOSX to use CFG v69b1
to load a KOR game on a KOR Wii.

You need the new installer modified by damysteryman, because the korean patch seems to work only if it's applied to the binaries statically.

If it works as expected, ModMii will be updated too in order to apply the same patch to the wads.

EDIT:
You should test that the patch doesn't break KOR games on a KOR Wii.

When it's confirmed working, someone just PM me with info on the new patches and bluedumped WADs of the revised cIOSs the modified cIOS Installer so I can build and dump WADs of the revised cIOSs and I'll see what I can whip up

This has probably been asked before, and I'll probably sound like a total noob for asking, but why are there so many different IOS slots/bases? Why not just one primary that gets occasionally updated, with "backwards compatibility" so that older games still run with the updated version?

(The old PSX/PS1/PSOne only ever had 1 BIOS in the machine, and all games ran fine regardless of age difference between disc release and machine release...)

Not the right place to find out about the Wii IOS system.
But to give you a quick answer, for compatibilty reasons.
Wii works COMPLETELY different in regards to how a Playstation works and handles data.
Bios is'nt the same as the IOS's in your Wii, let alone a cIOS or Mios/cMios ( yes, there's more...)

Better ask your question in the specially made NOOB question thread.

I found another little issue with d2x.. I (and somebody before me also [for sure
biggrin.gif
]) found out, that HOME button > reset will not turn back to the system menu. But this only works if block IOS reload is enabled. I tested Triviual Pursuit PAL with base 56 (cfg, default settings) and HOME > reset turned to system menu (tested twice). I then enabled reload blocking and the game reloaded well (but needed a long time and the wiimote lost sync).

@davebaol:
We had the idea to publish an issue list (maybe on the first post). You said you have one locally. An issue list has the advantage that everbody can see the nice progress of d2x and what we can expect in future.

First of all, thanks for the great effort that is put into d2x
smile.gif

One game that I never managed to get working from hhd is The Amazing Race, so I had my hopes high when trying with d2x, but sadly it still does not work. Anyone else had any luck getting this game to work?

[...]

Home menu -> "Wii menu" -> Return to system menu(this is overwritten by the return to channel from d2x if enabled)
Home menu -> "Reset" -> Return to game main menu

What is your issue exactly?
