I don't see the game menus on the video.. they probably put them on the touch screen.. which is very good

From that Jump scan, I have the impression that they'll use both screens on scenes like the Magus castle entrance. Aside from that.. same thing as on the SNES!

I wonder if they'll keep the PSX cutscenes..

edit: @tinymonkeyt.. the US release is confirmed for Winter 2008 too

Square-Enix I think already confirmed a Holiday 2008 release for US.

Video on the site was loading way too slow. Thought it was my net connection, but a speed test said otherwise, so I guess the site is getting bogged down by visitors.

So here's the video on youtube:

No updated graphics = Happy Hadrian.

There is no need to update them, they are beautiful.

Is nothing sacred? Hey lets get Casablanca updated!! Colourise it, add some big CGI monsters!

I agree.
What I want is extra content which I think will be added.
What makes me curious is at the end it says "Players: 1 (1-4)"... hmm...

While the game does look good as of course the original looked good, some updated special effects would have been nice still I think.

The press release said Wi-fi play, so I would assume it will do what most of the Square SNES RPG's of the time were doing and allow different players to control different members of the party. Though that doesn't explain how a fourth player would fit in.

unless they're gonna do a US/Japanese release at the same time considering its already been localized(translated) for the US, it said on the site Winter 2008 for Japan. However, if you go on the NA site the clock is there, but no countdown or anything for that matter

They could make it so you have 4 people in your party at a time, the game is not going to be exactly the same (hopefully). It would be cool if they had Co-op multiplayer, I loved to play SNES games Co-op with my brother and sister.

Better saving options is all I want.
I've never been into RPGs but Chrono Trigger was one of my first RPG games Ive played out till the end.
I'd love a system to keep track of what endings i've completed and what I need to do to get them. Plus alot of save slots for good ol time traveling.
Infact, why not a time traveling option to help with it instead?

Id like to see the PSX port's anime cutscenes intact, but portable Chrono Trigger is just good.
I hope this means we might see another sequel in the future or even possibly a 3D remake of this or Chrono Cross.

Still, its nice to see they haven't forgotten it for good.
