Here we go again. Christmas is two months from now and my mother wants to know what I want for Christmas. Again, like last year, I have no idea what I want since I can get any game I want...I'm being honest, I don't want anything. But my mom INSISTS that I ask for something since this is probably the last Christmas I will celebrate with the whole family for a while. Been thinking really hard about this but I just can't think of anything. Thinking maybe if I posted on here, something will come to mind. Also, clothes and shoes will not cut it since I always get clothes from my step mother and father. They give us hell lot of clothes to last us the year.

Instead of getting something for yourself, why not tell them to donate to a charity in your name. You'll get that nice fuzzy feeling from knowing you helped someone less fortunate than yourself. That can be better than any gift someone may give you IMO.

(After all, it is the season of giving. Maybe I'm just showing my age here.)

We do that every winter! Like for real, we get all our clothes that we don't wear and we donate them for those who don't have any clothes. Donating money is also a good idea though.

Hmm. Why not pick out your favorite rap artists and ask for some new albums? Physical media makes for great Christmas stuff.

Also, the Zune HD has awesome custom engraving and colors and stuff. It's the DEFINITION OF AWESOME.

I always make it a point to either volunteer somewhere and/or send donations around X-Mas time (I volunteer throughout the year but especially at Christmas time). Especially when you see how happy it can make people. Not to mention, it's just good karma.

Well my mom was thinking of getting me one of those...but those are like really expensive aren't they? I don't want her spending $200 on me like on an MP3 player...

That's really nice and kind of you.

And I agree, it is good karma. I like helping people a lot when I can. I'm just too soft and kind when the time comes.

I'd say Zune HD (I'm getting one for Christmas, so of course I'm going to say that) or iPod Touch.

Zune HD
Pros:
- Sleek, smaller than iPod Touch
- Accelerometer responds faster than the iPod Touch's
Cons:
- Less apps/games for the Zune HD than the iPod Touch
- Slower web browser

iPod Touch
Pros:
- A wide variety of games/apps
- More organized interface (Well, in my opinion at least, as I like the idea of just one menu that shows every app, instead of going through multiple other menus)
Cons:
- The Apple Store (Well, the iTunes one that you buy music/videos from) is terrible in my opinion
- VERY fragile screen (My friend's is cracked kind of badly, and it was because it fell onto a carpeted floor)

Overall, the Zune HD lacks games/apps, but features a good marketplace from what I've seen. The iPod Touch is the exact opposite. Also, the touch screen response on the Zune HD seems to be slower than the iPod Touch's screen reponse (It may just be me, but from the videos I saw, it looked like it).

What are you talking about? The iPod touch has a GLASS screen. I've abused mine to no end and it had not a single scratch on it when I sold it. And the iPod touch is slimmer and has a bigger screen than the Zune. And then theres the gap of apps... 75000 vs what...7?

It's pretty neat for a certain niche. From the series that I mentioned I liked (zelda, metroid, xenoblade) it automatically shows me extra info on characters and details like artwork and neat things related to the series I like.
