Hacking Cheats not working with update to 1.09

I'm just using the default cheat.dat that comes with the release but I'm not getting the cheat option for any of my games. I got options before with the 1.08 release for some games. I can remember Elite Beat Agents off the top of my head but that does not have cheat options with the new update. I tried the old cheat.dat and that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Fixed it. For some reason linux writing to my sd card wasn't working correctly. Tried it in windows and works fine.

Yeah I don't know why but I have some problems with linux writing on removable media.
Sometimes I delete the files but the system just don't want to free the space.
Hope they will fix it in the next version of ubuntu
