I've been working with PW: AA - DD for some time now and this particular question applies to every game in the series released since. Basically, there's a dither effect applied by the engine over top of the entire game. It's not easy to spot on real hardware since the resolution is so low, but with the use of Citra to bump up the internal resolution it becomes glaringly obvious.

It's not nearly as easy to spot in a still, but the dither pattern is static and doesn't move with the characters which means it isn't baked into the textures. I know for a fact this same dither effect is present in Monster Hunter, as a support thread on the Citra forum exists for it: https://community.citra-emu.org/t/h...fect-in-monster-hunter-generations-mhgen/9612

That issue was solved with the use of a cheat code to alter rendering settings for that game, but unfortunately the same code doesn't do anything to PW:AA - DD or any of its subsequent sequels/spinoffs. Monster Hunter and Dual Destinies both use the same engine - that being Capcom's MT Framework - so I'm putting out a request for a similar code to disable this effect. Would be greatly appreciated.
