Your cheat database file goes in the EZ5Shell folder. CHT folder is no longer used for that function/manner.

    Which ez5 version do you own ? v1, v2 or Plus ?

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Left is the v1 / Middle is the v2 / Right is the Plus version

    Ok.

Can you tell me what is the color of the booting loader menu when you press R key and press the ez5 icon in ds menu ?
Is it black with white text or blue with white text (like below picture) ?

Good. So ... If you are sure that your ez5 is a v2 follow this post. The EZ5 Plus version or the EZ5i (EZVi) will be bricked if you follow this guide.
So be sure to have properly identified the version. [IMG]

First you have to do the bootstrap update that you seem to have never done.
The booting loader menu must become blue with white text.
To do so, follow those steps :

    - be sure your DS is full of power
    - backup your microSD on your PC
    - format your microSD in FAT (FAT16)
    - download the kernel 1.70
    - unzip it on root of your microSD
    - start your DS and stay in menu
    - hold R and touch ezv logo to enter booting loader menu
    - press R again to update the ez5upldr.bin file
    - when it's finished, press A to enter the loader
    - be carefull here, you will see the bootstrap update so don't interrupt this process !
    - when you are under the shell it's ok you can shutdown your DS
    - to verify if your EZV v2 is updated, go again in the booting loader menu. It should be blue with white text now.
    - if all is ok, format again your microSD and download k2.0 RC20. Unzip it in root of your microSD.
    - copy back only your games and saves.
    - and forget the booting loader menu, it's no longer used with new kernels. when a new kernel is released, just update the microSD.

Last step, copy the file usrcheat.dat in the /ez5shell folder. Enabled the cheat engine in the rom settings window. It should be ok now.
