I recently was interested in getting a gameboy micro. Everyone says that they are really cheap but I can't seem to find any cheap ones in Canada. Does anyone know where to get cheap game boy micro in Canada?

eBay. They should be almost fully out of stock in stores now (production stopped AFAIK)

And waste 70$ on a outdated system.. I dont think so. Does anyone know a place where I can trade something for it?

    GBA isn't outdated. [IMG]
    There's gold on it. GOLD.
And trust me, it's much better to play GBA on a micro than on a DS.

Why do you want to get an "outdated system" in the first place? [IMG]

If you think the money spent on a GBM would be "wasted", why are you buying it at all?

Thats the truth. Though after getting a micro before, I would honestly recommend the brighter SP instead.

Ah I've just figured it out; unlike Canada Europe got the Micro in 4 colours, so it's the less popular colours that are still sort-of availiable over here. Toxic green and bright metallic pink anyone? [IMG]

From what I've read some people who found cheap Micros in the UK had to ask at the counter as they had been taken off of shelves and stuffed into dusty stockrooms. So it might be worth finding a chain store that used to sell them cheap and asking around / making a few phone calls.

Preowned is another option, a lot of people probably brought Micros without realising the system was at the end of it's lifespan and have hardly used them so it wouldn't surprise me if there's some brilliant quality preowned gear out there.

I'm not seeing these on Gamestop's site, only used GBAs. I guess it is only for separate stores.

Is it wrong to consider a micro just to play KH:CoM? Yes, I have the DS, but... Micros are so tiny!

i agree as gba sp backlit plays original gameboy games, gameboy colour games and the normal gba games too, the screen is bigger and the screen is protected when it's closed, i had to import mine from america though as it wasn't available in the UK.

I think most if not everyone will be using flashcarts with the GB Micro so it really doesn't matter if it can play color games or not as goomba can fix that. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
