Hi all

My Wii u is on 5.2.1 with CHCB working flawlessly. I'm replaying Zelda now using the 2 DLC's (including the one released close to 2k18). The issue I have is that this new expansion requires 5.2.2 thus I can't run it.

I know there is a 5.2.2 spoof on one side and that CHCB is now compatible with 5.2.1, but I wonder which is the best option and if I could get some guidance!

Thnx in advance!

I think the best option is to update to 5.5.2.
it will not affect haxchi nor cbhc. everything else will work even better (no need to spoof or bypass eshop check when downloading game updates)

for now, there's no new update. We don't know if nintendo will release a 5.5.3 to prevent "freeshop" type programs to work on wiiu. so, maybe updating to 5.5.2 now is a good idea, when it still work with cbhc and there's no new version.

Thnx Cyan.

Therefore I understand I should

- run CHCB installer to uninstall and to stop cfw autoload
- from system main menu update normally the console

- rerun CHCB installer to reinstall autorun

Is. That correct? Anything different to be considered?

Thnx a 1000!

I don't think you need to uninstall CBHC to update the console.
if the console replaces the "autoboot titleID" (it doesn't), it would be like the CBHC uninstall step : replacing it with the system menu titleID.

If you want to be safe, you can uninstall the autoboot, it will not remove the channel, you can then run the channel manually to launch Homebrew launcher and re-run the installer.
but, just update the console without deleting cbhc, it's fine.
