Hardware Charging/Battery issue with my vita?

I recently bought a 3rd party adapter for my Vita because my first party one just stopped working out of nowhere. The new charger charges my vita fine at first (orange light is solid) but after 5 or so minutes it starts blinking very fast. The vita works fine when i'm using the USB cable to transfer data. Any help?

It's not the end of the world if it takes longer to charge but I just want to know if it;s bad for my Vita
