Hi, I'm new here . . .

I Just got a PSP Slim 2003 from eBay and don't know much about this stuff.

It has 5.50 GEN-D (full) displayed in the settings menu.

I read somewhere that it should only say this on Phat models, Slim is supposed to say 5.50 GEN-D3.

Is this fine? I only want to use it for ISOs and emulators . . .

Also, should I leave the CPU Speed at default or increase it?

Are there any other settings I should change to get smoother/better performance?

Thanks!

Should be fine, I think (full) might only show on the first version of GEN-D. If you're using it for that, then D3 should be just fine, and I'd recommend leaving the CPU speed as is for the moment, although I don't play with that, so you might hear other recommendations.

It just means you're not at the latest, there was revision's of GEN-D, D3 being the latest so I would suggest you upgrade to that, regarding the CPU speed, the default option sets it to the highest anyway (333) but I normally keep it at 266 for games to save battery power and all games seem to run fine without slowdowns, even games like GoW, it's up to you but if you really want that extra performance just set it to 333 or leave it at default, don't think there's any other settings that can help improve performance.
