Yes, it is. It has simply been compiled with devkitPPC version 27. Unfortunately I don't have a wiiU to test. Doesn't work?

Thanks for the update. I'm running this on a Wii U with a vwii USB drive (Wii game location), Wii U usb drive and a SD card (Gamecube game location). This seems to work with all of my games so far. I was using Wiiflow Mastermod r1054 but for some reason it just stopped loading my flash drive so I went looking for a fix and seen where this was updated to work with the current Nintendont. I had also tried USB Loader GX but there was a couple of my Wii games that wouldn't load from it plus it would freeze when playing a Gamecube game and saving in game.

The only thing I have noticed with CFG USB Loader is that I can't load a gamecube game in widescreen like Starfox Adventure no matter what I do in options it seems to load it in 4:3 every time. Thanks for any help.

Starfox Adventure should just ask you if you want progressive when you start it and I believe it already has widescreen support so it shouldn't need any patches.

For some reason it still has the black bars on the sides.

Look all around the ship cabin on the menu. One of the characters should let you change the video settings to widescreen. GC games all have a small black bar on either side even when running in 16:9 mode.

EDIT: Just looked on my copy: talk to Peppy Hare at the main menu. He's got the aspect ratio settings.

I tried that but it just made everything extra thin and the bars still remained on each side. What's weird is when I hit the home button on my wii remote during a GameCube game everything goes to widescreen for a split second before going back to the homebrew channel.

Well today I went to play Mario Kart Wii and the loader froze at "loading game please wait ....." I waited for about 5 minutes and nothing happened I then reset my Wii U and tried it again and the same thing happened. Next I tried to load smash brothers melee and it froze at loading IOS 58. I don't know what's going on with it but this seems to be happening to all the loaders that I've tried they work for the initial day that I install it but after turning off my Wii U and waiting about 24 hours it stops working. :hateit:

Nintendont though still works if I load it and the games will still load from my flash drive if the Wii U drive is removed and from my SD even if the Wii U drive is connected. I wouldn't mind launching my GameCube games from nintendont but my Wii games won't load from any loader now. I followed this guide when I set up my Wii U "Definitive vWii Hacking Guide". Any he!p would be very much appreciated.

You can't run Wii games under IOS 58. They require a custom IOS if they're running from USB.

Maybe post the .csv from SysCheck? (Please use that version and put it in spoiler tags.)

Ok I'll dot tomorrow when I get a chance and smash brothers melee is a GameCube game. When I tried loading Okami it showed something like

Loading IOS21
loading game please wait....
and just freeze there. When it did work I think that it would go on to show something about cIOS 249 I think and load properly. By the way why is there two versions of the boot.dol for this in downloads one shows 222 after the r11 and the other doesn't? I used the one that doesn't have the 222 after it and renamed it boot.dol and replaced the old one with it.

And why do you say not to use d2x beta 53? That's the one that was recommend in the definitive vwii hacking guide. Is there an alternative for the Wii U? Sorry to ask more questions and thanks for the help.

Hmm... d2x v10 beta53 can be problematic. If there's nothing wrong with the first USB port on your console (I'm not sure exactly which one that is on a Wii-U) you might have some luck replacing your IOS249-251 with the d2x-v10-beta52-vWii version instead.

If CFG is trying to reload to IOS21 when booting a disc image it's not going to work. The real IOS21 will only read from the optical drive.

First of all doublecheck the integrity of the FAT on SD (it's very strange the hang just after the ios58 reload starting nintendont).
After that I sudgest you the following cIOS schema:

246 [38] d2x-v10-beta53-vWii
247 [53] d2x-v10-beta53-vWii

All right I'll try beta 52 to see if it works in the guide that I followed though they said that it was used mainly for emu nand. If that doesn't work then I guess I'll try your cIOS schema Nitraiolo and I used bootice to format my SD and USB drive like it showed here. https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-vwii-hacking-guide.425852/ Both are formatted to FAT32. Although is there a formatting program that you recommend because I don't ever get the 3rd screen that looks exactly like the one shown and can't select what size to align the sectors to but there is the box to check still that says "optimize internal structure (4k-aligned only applies to FAT16/FAT32/EXFAT partitions)".

Let you know how beta 52 does in a little while.

Edit: Still doesn't work results are the same GC games freeze at loading IOS 58 and Wii games freeze at loading game.

Edit 2: You mentioned something being wrong with my USB port so I decided to switch USB drives with a small 32 gb Flash Drive and now everything works, but 32gb is about a 4th of my Wii games, so is there a bigger Flash Drive that you know works the one I had was a 256gb SanDisk Cruzer that I had gotten because someone mentioned having luck with a 128gb SanDisk Cruzer. Do you think that reformatting the drive with a formatting tool that would let me select the sector size would work?

One of the problems with d2x v10 beta53 is bad EmuNAND compatibility. It's possible that CFG doesn't recognize it as a valid cIOS, too, if it's an older version.

If it's not possible to format your drive to 32K clusters try to pick something that's a multiple of it. 4K is actually 4096 which is an even hex multiple of 32,768 so it should be ok. It just might waste a small amount of free space on the drive.

Well for now I think that I have it working. I downloaded a program called Fat32 Format which let me pick the allocation size and I went ahead and set it to 4096. I then reformatted my drive and it now seems to work with my Wii games. As for GC games I think switching to beta 52 may have fixed that. I just need to remember to set the file location to the SD card before loading any games and then they boot just fine. Is there a way to set custom paths so that I don't need to select SD every time I want start a GC game?

Other than that I still can't get any widescreen capable games to load in widescreen. I noticed in nintendont that they have a setting just for the Wii U to patch widescreen issues and without it enabled games won't load in widescreen when I use nintendont to start GC games.

Thanks for your help, I'll let you know if it keeps working. :yayu:
