It's time for another Cemu update! Nintendo Wii U emulator, Cemu, has received a new version update, in the form of 1.15.9. This is a minor revision overall, with new changes including more ways to sort your games list, improving upon the emulator's UI, typical bugfixes, and perhaps the most interesting of the bunch, getting DS Virtual Console titles to not crash on boot. If you want to keep updated or try out the new changes, as always, you can grab the latest version on the official site.

    # Cemu detailed changelog for 1.15.9c
    # Patreon release date: 2019-06-14
    # Public release date: 2019-06-21

    # New in 1.15.9c:

GX2: Fixed a leak in streamout cache

CPU: Better emulation of XER OV/SO bits
VC DS boots a little further now

    # New in 1.15.9b:

GX2: Fixed a bug in streamout cache

    # New in 1.15.9:

general: The game list can now be sorted by name, game time and last played (#86)
general: Added favorites to the game list that always are at the top of the list (#86)
Games can be marked as favorite via the right click menu

general: Updated look of software keyboard and shader compilation screen

general: Graphic pack tree view will group sub categories together (#85)
Previously individual packs and sub categories would be mixed together based on alphabetically order

    general: Minor UI tweaks

coreinit: Fixed a bug where __ghsLock() would not acquire the processor lock
Fixes random crashes in Just Dance 2018 and possibly other games

coreinit: Added support for negative alignment to MEMAllocFromBlockHeapEx()
DS Virtual Console games no longer crash on boot

GX2: Better handling for streamout append operations
Fixes polygon distortions in Xenoblade Chronicles

GX2: If uniform data maps to streamout cache, then limit uniform size to match available data

GX2: Handle negative inputs for GPU7 shader log2() function
This change is mainly to avoid vendor-specific bugs due to undefined behavior
Fixes Nvidia specific graphic bugs in Art Academy and possibly other games

    AX: Implemented AXGetMultiVoiceReformatBufferSize()
With this Axiom Verge no longer crashes on boot. It's not known if other games use this API

vpad: Simulate VPAD internal sample rate for games that spam VPADRead() in a loop
Improves performance in Art Academy games

H264: Added support for frames that are split into multiple NAL slices
Required for the intro video in Dont Starve: Giant Edition
H264: Properly handle H264DECEnd() when the decoder session was already ended (#71)
This fixes a crash in Duck Tales: Remastered

I suppose there's still a long road before we get Vulcan support. Anyway, keep it up Cemu team, your work is awesome!

What? They've had Intel CPU support since day one.... If you mean GPU they have also had IGPU support as well

If they want a real game changer/strong backpower/patreon support back in zelda botw released times, they need to implement vulkan properly. People waiting this for 2-3 years who own amd gpu..

Intel GPUs still functions well enough in some games tho. You just need to have a decent SKU

I think they've already stated that Vulkan support will provide only minor improvements in some situations. Here's hoping they can help out AMD users tho.

CEMU runs great on AMD graphics via WINE.

Exactly, this is what I'm saying. Why would you split the community?

The problems are with AMD drivers, which have awful opengl support. It's on AMD to fix that and help AMD users, not on emulator/game developers.

How do members here update their CEMU to latest. Do you just extract to the old directory? or Do you resetp everything after extracting?

If you really want your inferior graphics card to work properly with emulators and games that work just fine with Nvidia cards, direct your comments at AMD and their crappy drivers and lousy support for well-known and long-supported standards. The folks who make CEMU can't be expected to hack around AMD's burning dumpster known as Catalyst.

People who aren't willing to pay a little more to get a quality video card are prolly not willing to contribute to a patreon either. They've been doing just fine without Vulkan and have made truly amazing progress in the last few months that should make all but the usual haters happy.

I get you but you are being toxic to AMD a little. Yes some bad drivers out there for AMD gpus but there is also better one. We seen Vulkan surpassed the OpenGL nearly all situtations and also even Directx some situtations. The thing is, AMD dont want to optimize drivers for inferior api.

+1. Cross compiling between Linux and macOS is simple, anyway.
