Finish Line Games, a recently created indie dev team, has announced they'll be making an HD re-release of Cel Damage, the cel-shaded vehicular combat game originally released for GC/XBOX/PS2, for PS3/PS4/Vita to be released this Spring. The game will be cross-buy for all 3 systems, will have cross-save so you can pickup your progress from every system, and will be released in glorious HD.

Hi PlayStation.Blog readers! I’m Daniel Posner, reaching out to you from Toronto, Canada. My long-time friend, Rich Hilmer, and I recently co-founded a brand new indie game studio called Finish Line Games. Along with guru programmer friend Matt Robinson, Rich and I have been working on a passion project over the past few years, and we’re super excited to announce the fruits of our labor: Cel Damage HD, a high definition re-release of the original, vehicular combat game that debuted back in 2001.

I think this is pretty great. I have a lot of fond memories playing this at sleepovers as a kid, so I can't wait to play this again (especially since the GC version can't be emulated, and the PS2 version was a European release only). It should also be noted that at this time there doesn't appear to be any addition of online play which is a bit upsetting, however the devs have yet to comment on such things.
