You can if you're stupid, but there are no-creditcard needed offers. And no, you can redeem it in a check or a gift card.

That means you call them to the number in the email you got and follow the instruction so they know you're not fake.

Usually the offer says what you need to give them your card for, sometimes to pay for shipping, sometimes its a trial.

I've never done a credit card offer, all my prizes came from free offers and the little points I got from referrals.
