The next video game franchise to get its shot at a Netflix adaptation is Dragon's Dogma. The streaming service has announced the release date of its new anime series simply titled Dragon's Dogma, which is an adaptation of the Capcom game of the same name. It's set to premiere on September 17th, after originally being announced back in March of 2019. Animation studio Sublimation will be handling the series, having previously worked on one other anime series, Shikizakura.

Only the Arisen can face the Dragon and defeat the apocalypse. Here's your first look at the anime series adaptation of Capcom's action fantasy classic Dragon's Dogma, arriving September 17th.

Based on a world-famous action RPG set in an open world, Dragon's Dogma from Capcom will be brought to life as a Netflix original anime series. The story follows a man's journey seeking revenge on a dragon who stole his heart. On his way, the man is brought back to life as an "Arisen." An action adventure about a man challenged by demons who represent the seven deadly sins of humans.

Uhh...Alright. I'm sure the game is fine, but I haven't heard anything too exceptional about it myself. Is the material that adaptable into an anime, though?

Awesome, put an absurd number of hours on the BBI (back in the XBOX 360 days)
Was even still fun to replay when it dropped on STEAM (PC)
I hope this pushes for another North American (English) game release.
Wonder how they are going to handle the pawn system in the anime.

Yeah, the Pawn systems and trading cursed treasure from the BBI
Really kept me hooked playing this game.
Now if only the reverse was true...then I could finally get a Samurai Trooper/Ronin Warriors video game >_<"
But we are finally getting a Captain Tsubasa game in North America next month.

The game is a hidden gem. Also plays great on the Switch. If Capcom had been able implement multiplayer it would have been epic.

IKR? All I know is that your MC gets the Kano treatment from a dragon at the beginning of the game, and then returns to life soon afterwards...somehow.
No, you guys missed a lot of the story, you must not have done enough of the side quests. There is actually a few different stories going on.

An odd choice indeed. It's not like it's particularly well-known among people who aren't already hugely into gaming. Even the title just sounds like completely generic fantasy.

I really liked the game, played it on the 360 and bought it for the Switch some time ago. Given how lenghty it can be, it is a great match for the switch's portability. Sadly I bought right as the COVID situtation started so due to being overoworked, I never did have the time to actually play more than a few hours.

I've got it on PS3. Idk just got bored of it half way through. I hate the pawns (or whatever they are called). The griffin fight was pretty cool though

The pawns are pretty cool once you get used to them. The plot is also pretty interesting when you start to pick up on what's going on.
