Fighter IV 3D Edition. Sure the 3D effect is superfluous, but when it comes to fluidity, visuals and (for the most part) controls, this handheld version does an impressive job of cramming it all onto one tiny card. We recently had a chance to chat with Yoshi Ono, Capcom's general manager of R&D and all-around father of Street Fighter IV, about this latest version as well as possible plans for the future.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!
    Really long =P

A good read. Hope they'll whip something up for the NGP, too.

    Already posted.

Anyways, it's neat that they got this running, although I'm guessing the resolution was lower, not that it makes a big difference on a small screen, and it had a little less polygons, but I'm guessing the shaders are the same as the home console versions.

Impressive news. And this is only the beginning of the gen. So much for the technical "prowess" of the competition. (Weakest console always wins the gen anyway.)

Honestly though, I didn't like RE5. I didn't like Shiva, I didn't like the settings (too bright for a horror game) and the gameplay wasn't survival horror at all. It was more of a shoot-em-up.

The coolest thing I got out of the article is that the 3DS is super easy to develop for. He even went on to say that usually the APIs aren't finished for a new game system. This is by far the most surprising thing I've heard. Sony better step its game up if they want the NGP to be attractive for developers.

Yeah, that really surprised me too.

I guess Nintendo was REALLY serious when they said that they fully supported 3rd party development.

If the 3DS can pull this off and along with everything I've seen...I expect a lot from it. Im so excited....Can't wait to pre-order it

EDIT - I really hope they do a Arcade Edition just so I can play as Evil Ryu on the go and the new Oni guy (has that been confirmed if that's Akuma or not)

it sounds like super street fighters is almost the console version with just a few tweeks to help preformance
i loved the ps3 demo i tried at walmart and since i dont have a ps3 or xbox 360, this will be awesome
i most likely will play pro mode just like the controls on street fighter 2 snes

This article is more about SSFIV3D than RES5
