Hacking Can't run NTSC NES or SNES VC games on PAL wii....help!

Hello, in a nutshell, Modded my wii with ModMii 6.1.5. Pal Wii on 4.3E. Running Ios 236. All priiloader settings set to all region everything. Using MMM to install wads. All other Wads run great but can't access everything on PAL and my Wii freezes up with a black screen when I run an NTSC(U) NES or SNES game. I've tried plenty different wads from different sources, always the same problem. I've read somewhere along the lines of all my non-PAL wads have probably been region unlocked using Freethewads which is incompatible with NES & SNES games.

Can anyone help?

If you are going the route of using pirated Virtual Console games, I would recommend just using the various emulators available and have fun

Thanks for the info. While I do intend to get to emulators later, I only have 30sum games to add. Is there honestly no easy fix for this?

yes, there is .
It involves region changing your wii.
Or using a version of sneek/ emunand

Really to be honest the free emulators are FAR SUPERIOR.
Wiimednafen, snesgx, fcultragx, gengxplus are FAR better to use for your retro gaming.
They support roms of all regions, video have filters, can run all roms in progressive mode, and best of all they do not clutter or take up any wii nand space.

I you know how to use google you can find complete rom libraries for these retrosystems with every game ever released.
Now, is'nt that neat?

Run the problematic wads through a program called freethewads on your PC and then install them. Use the option to make the wads region free.

Well those are preferrably run through emulators.

Found this via google.

The trick for PAL Wii's is after you have installed them is run them using:
USBLoaderGX

Once you select to run one from the menu
Under "Settings"
Goto "Game Load"
Then in the first page is the SNEEK setting: SNEEK Video Patch = ON

Make sure SNEEK Video Patch = ON

Note:
- This will stop NES / SNES NTSC titles from locking up / freezing / Causing a black screen
- You may need the following IOS installed (make sure they are Trucha Bug Patched): IOS9 / IOS17 / IOS21 / IOS33 / IOS53
