Can't remember the name of a game I once played

The game I remember was on the PS1.
It was a racing game in the vein of wipeout, but instead of courses it had more open areas that you could race around and explore.
The vehicles levitated.
The vehicles went at insane speeds.
The main level I remember was a green, hilly area, with a rainy sky and grey ground with dark rock structures plotted along the sides.

The game wasnt amazing, but its something I really need to know. The best thing I remember about it was me and my brother driving up the walls which you weren't supposed to be able to do.

Thanks for the fast response.
I looked at the Jet Moto games before, and so far number 3 looks the closest to the game I remember, however I'am convinced it is no the game. The reasons being that in the game I remember there being no observable driver, your vehicles was a purely exterior view with a wipeout/f-zero sci-fi design, the other reason being areas of the track where you could drive up the sides in a sort of glitch, and the final reason being that it just doesn't match the style of the game.
Any other candidates?

Thanks for the response Tom, but that isnt the game either. Its close in terms of gameplay but it isnt the game. Do you know any others that might be it? because i have searched alot of game lists and they tend to not be as comprehensive as I would like and have missing games here and there.
