Hacking Cant open Hourglass9 by holding Start on boot

Hi guys. I am using this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-5-(arm9loaderhax)for installing A9LH.

I am stuck in PART 5-section IV, since hourglass9 doesnt start when I press Start at the boot.

Do the other payloads work? If so, try downloading Hourglass9 again, and try again.

I tried test payload from Plaitect troubleshoot site and it worked. Then I tried downloaded hourglass again and It still didnt work.

I found out that I dont have firmware.bin in luma folder, but it's on the root of SD card. Could that be a problem?

Move it into the luma folder, and see if that fixes it.

I'm so stupid. I found out now, that I skipped 2 steps in PART 5- Section 1. Can I do those steps now, eventhough I already installed
arm9loaderhax in section 2?

I don't see why you can't. That's just prep work. Section I. Do them over, correctly this time, and try again.

try renaming hg9 to arm9loaderhax then changing one with in your root

So far so good. I managed to get into Hourglass, after I completed those steps, which I forgot earlier.

Could you try get another button for your Hourglass in payloads?
name it up_HG9.bin (then you have to press the up Button on your d-pad during start)
or maybe down_HG9.bin (then press down on your d-pad during start)
please try it and if it works you can use it to finish Plailect's guide

Hey man! I'm installing al9h on my 3ds. I wanted to thank you! A LOT! Start wasn't working for me, so i changed start_hourglass to up_hourglass and i got in! thanks a mil!!!!!!!

hey piggi99. try renaming hourglass9.bin to y_hourglass9.bin. Upon boot, press y. let me know. are you having issues with start as well?
