Can't launch Homebrew from Album or holding R - please help!

For some reason, just today I keep getting an 'Error code: 2144-0001 (0x29)' when I try and launch Home-brew through the album icon. I have never managed to get the 'holding R' thing to work either, so currently can't find any way to launch Home-brew. I need to access Goldleaf to install extra games.

I tried replacing Atmosphere folder on my Switch Root but that has not worked.

This is driving me nuts - any advice would be really, really appreciated!

PS. Please explain things like I'm a child. I'm not that techie with this stuff. Thank you!

Replace the hbmenu.nro on the sd root with the latest one

You are an absolutely champion!! I thought that file needed to be in the Switch root, but SD root has totally solved. Thank you so much!!
