So I have a SATA Modded PS2, with the latest FHDB. I added Retroarch and SMS and I can't get either one working, either launching through OPL, OSDSYS (the main screen with all the things to choose from) or launching the ELF directly, it's all stored in +OPL/APPS. Just wondering why I'm having this issue and would like some help.

Haven't tried, everything is set up to run off HDD. Should I run off USB/MC?

Just to test they boot at all.

Word of advice though FHDB can be allot slower than FMCB to boot from my experience, personally I just use FHDB to install FMCB and as a backup.

Did you remember to do this for OPL?:

Note: I haven’t myself used OPL for launching apps.

Okay, I'll test off MC. It's weird, I had it working sort of a while back, it's weird that OPL, OSDSYS, and uLaunchELF fail to load anything. And yeah I set up the app config. Would it be good to setup FMCB as well, to increase stability and possibly increase boot speed? It is slow and it's my understanding that the HDD is that last thing that gets initialized in the PS2 boot process.
