Hi, I want to install Arcade Archives Super Mario Bros on DevMenu(SX OS), but when I go to "Install from SD" I get this error:
"Failed to access to the SD card. (result: 0x00000202)"
EDIT: I have a 64GB SanDisk MicroSD card and it's formatted on exFat

Already tried:
-Reformat(On Windows)
-Reformat(On Switch)
-Try another game(Stardew Valley)
-Change file name(to "SuperMarioBrosArcade")

FIXED: I deleted a lot of files on my SD card and now it works

i had that exact error on one of my 400gb exfat cards.
tried another 400gb one i had exact same brand etc and it worked fine.
a 64gb worked fine too.
so not sure atm why that error comes.
have you tried it with no xci files on the root of the card?

OK I maybe able to help now.
I had an inkling what the issue may have been for me due to other cards of same or other sizes working fine.
xci files should be fine existing on sd root.
My issue was due to having a roms folder containing a shed load of files in it.
Clearly this was causing Devmenu to lock up in tying to read the card for nsp files.
Once I removed this folder, it works fine.

If you tried after a fresh format though then I can only think your sd card itself is bad.

the romfs folder i have to remove?
No, you completely misread me.
I had a roms folder containing all my emu shizzle. My OWN folder that I made. Nothing to do with Layered romfs etc.
Basically, if you have too many files on your card, Demenu seems to get snippy so check that angle.

Getting error, I put the dir name like G: or G:/ and it says unexpected )

Edit : Copy paste from original post to avoid confusions (still says "do unexpected" for me)

MAC (Tested, working)

  • Load terminal
  • Type the following commend, where SDCARD is the name of your Micro SD card:
    • sudo chflags -R arch "/Volumes/SDCARD"
  • Enter your password, wait, eject the card and then profit
WINDOWS (Not tested, try it and let me know - test at your own risk)

  • Load notepad
  • Type the following into Notepad, where directory_path is the location of your Micro SD card in WIndows:
    • for /F %i in (‘dir /s /b directory_path ‘) do attrib -A %i
  • Save the file as lolz.bat or something
  • Locate lolz.bat and run it in Windows.
    • To debug, you can open CMD, browse to the folder containing lolz.bat, and then type lolz.bat and hit enter
  • Eject the card and then profit

Someone fixed the issue but it's only for Mac: https://team-xecuter.com/forums/thr...-UNABLE-TO-LOAD-DEVMENU?p=1068469#post1068469

Also, I found a "fix" for Windows but the person doesn't know if it works, (I cannot link the post): View attachment 134739
