Hacking Cant install cIOSx REV 20b or rev 14

Ok, so i have modded my wii before, and now have came to do my sisters wii and when i come to install the cIOS i get "Install ERROR! (ret = -2011)

Does this with rev14 and rev 20.

only thing installed on it is HBC, anything else i should install before installing cIOS or anything

Please help, cheers.

Follow the guide here. You have to restore the trucha bug on your Wii by installing a patched IOS236 first.

Once you do that, you will be able to install Rev 20.

If you have problems/issues, post a question in that forum.

Just looked at the thread you showed me, it says to run IOS236 Installer v3
but i cant find a download link to it. Could you possibly point me in the right direction?

Installed it and it said it patched but still the same error.

The problem is the ios 249 stub. Use dop-mii to get rid of it.

Ok cheers, is there a guide i can follow to do this or anything because usually when i follow my instinct i mess up and its not my wii.

Tried using that with all 3 packs under "PART B: The extermination of the evil stub ios249"

Tried doing what it says but got 3 errors, on deleting titles and such.

still not sure how to use DOP-Mii, and cant find a tut on how to either.

Search for dop mii v12. Not the homebrew edition.
Start it up with HBC.
Ios to use choose 36
Now you see the menu, select IOS.
Select ios to dop: Use arrows left and right and get it to 249. Press minus and it uninstalls.
Now you can install cIOSx rev 20b or any other cIOSx in slot 249.

It's called 'Wiibrew Edition", not 'Homebrew Edition'. The 'WiiBrew Edition' can do anything that the original version can do except fakesigning stuff. There's really no reason to stick with the Wiibrew Edition. Just use the recently released Dop-Mii v14.2

Just out of curiosity, there is and apps and a config folder in the dop-mii zip, do i just copy both to the root of the SD card?

Example: /apps/dopmii/boot.dol

In the dop-mii zip there is 2 folders.

im just wondering if the config folder is needed also, the 2 folders are:

and apps folder, inside is .svn and dop-mii with inside that is boot.dol, .svn folder and inside svn is text base, prop base, props and entries and stuff like that

and there is a config folder
inside this is is dopmii.cfg and another .svn folder

do i just need to apps folder, of config folder and apps folder, and where does the conifg folder need to be?

do i just copy all this stuff to the root,?

the boot.dol is inside the dopmii folder inside the apps folder

Yes, you will need both /apps and /config folder under root.

Ok so did it, selected IOS 36, and it said AHMBOT is availiable, press A to use it or press B to use IOS 36,

Went to 249 under IOS menu, and it only says install, not uninstall, but i can uninstall other IOS version, but not 249.

It did say though that the 246 was a stub

What should i do seeing as i cant uninstall it using the minus key?

Did you press A to use AHPBORT?? If you chose iso36, is it patched??

You could also use ATD (Any Title Deleter) with CARE !!

Do you have the latest HBC ??
