Hello! I can't inject Hekate v5.0.2 through the RCM dongle, just via Tegra.

Does anyone have any idea why?

Thanks in advance

Its the file used by the rcmloader or the tegra loader , its being push toward the switch to boot it up , depending on wich one (hekate, sxos...)those are being update to follow the switch updates , therefore the file need to be updated to follow the change.

happens only and specifically with Hekate's payload v5.0.2

Have you tried injecting with your computer?

Yes, I did. The payload works. I can't figure out why my RCMLoader dongle can't inject this specific payload.

But most of the time I use the switch in handheld mode, so would be nice to be able to inject through the dongle.

I have had this happen to mine lately. What works for me is to copy the payload to the REINX folder and change the payload over to that by holding the plus button until it flashes green.

update rcmLoader firmware
Verify text file on the dongle, if path is set correctly
verify if the updated payload version is properly named payload.bin, and in the proper folder
erase payload.bin from all other folders just in case.

I hope it's not common for a payload folder to stop working on this dongle after much use. (Mostly because I plan on getting it.) There's that rcmloader firmware thing, though neither Loamn nor veekay reported success or failure yet.

Will try and update later. Thank you

Will try that. Ty

I have the RCMLoader
(post some pics of your files if you still have and issue) make sure you have it set to the right color
redownload them maybe they got corrupted, how old is the RcmLoader, do you have a strong light? maybe the battery is weak

try with Rcmloader connected to the pc and also to your switch (if it works your battery is weak)

good luck

Hello! And thank you for the reply. Still no luck here.

The RCMLoader is new, less than a month. Yes, I have a strong blue light. I keep it charged (the white light does not flash, it remains static. Means it's charged right?)

I can inject SXOS, ReiNX and older Hekate versions with the Rcmloader. But still can't inject Hekate 5.0.2, which I'm injecting using Tegra via PC.

All other folders are empty.

Edit 2:

Redownloaded Hekate v5.0.2, didn't work. Redownloaded Hekate v.5.0.1, worked perfectly.

I really don't understand

both of which work well in potplayer

amd is a bit cheaper though

Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different

    Year not yard lol

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb

but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling

They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great

so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more

    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling

LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
