I've been trying since yesterday to get this working but I can't figure it out. I've done the guide maybe 30 times over the course of yesterday and today and the furthest I get is when I run switch2uneek and it says "Moved 4 sub-folders", then nothing. The wii disc slot stays glowing and blinks every 10 minutes and the hard drive shows no activity at all.

    Edit: Uneek+DI

i bet you built the nand with modmii huh

well you will first have to launch the nand and set it up before switch will work i had same problem too

just put the nand folder in the root of usb and launch uneek from hbc or from MMM (just reload to ios 254)
set up emunand and the switch2uneek will work for you

You will need the cert from your real NAND. If you have a bootmii dump, extract it and copy the cert from the sys folder to the sys folder from the modmii NAND.

Just curious. Why do you need this file? I don't have it on any of my emu nands and have no problems with them

That's a good question, some people need it, some people don't.

I tried using the cert file from my bootmii nand backup, but I get the same thing. Earlier, I moved the tmp,shared2,import and meta folders from my real nand dump over to the usb root. switch2uneek then said "moved 9 subfolders from usb:/nands/nand1 to usb:/. I got single flashes every 2 seconds after that while I let it run for at least 20 minutes. Also, my external showed no sign of activity throughout the whole process.

if you stop trying to use switch and just put the folders in the root like zizer said earlier it will probaly work

I did that earlier today. My wii was on for an hour with no change and the light still flashing. Does it take that long to start?

As of right now, this is what my sd and usb looks like:

    SD:\
    apps
    bootmii
    sneek
    wad
    download_log.md5

    USB:\
    games
    import (real nand)
    meta (real nand)
    nands
    shared1
    shared2 (real nand)
    SNEEK
sys (with the cert file inside)
    ticket
    title
    tmp (real nand)
    wfs (real nand)

the nand1 folder is empty. I tried replacing all of the usb root folders with the ones from the "nand-extracteda" folder after I did a nand dump but nothing happened.

First try to get UNEEK up and running. Just use ModMii to build a clean emu nand for you and don't copy anything from your real nand.

There are a lot of possible reasons why UNEEK doesn't boot, but blinking lights mean most of the time that you're missing something, something is incompatible or something isn't setup right

I created a 4.2 uneek nand with modmii and copied the nands folder over to my hard drive. The wii went straight to my real one when I turned it on.

Edit: Tried switch2uneek and it said "cannot read nandpath.txt file".

yeah you can follow the same guide or use modmii and tell it that you want sneek no di to make sure nand is working

Got the black screen and blinking light again. Does this mean my hard drive isn't compatible?

    My drive just blinks

When your drive blinks in a pattern something went wrong, here is a list of what each pattern means:
1:The TMD of the requested title is missing
2:The TMD of the IOS the current title uses is missing
3:The kernel.bin is not found on sd and or usb
4:Failed to load the requested IOS (missing IOS, missing TMD/Ticket/content)
5:Could not open or read sd:/sneek/kernel.bin
