Hi I am trying to get my Zelda The Minish Cap save game from my RetroPie to my EZ Flash Omega. It's in SRM format. I tried all of the following, every time it results in Zelda not showing any saved games:

  • Use gbaconv to convert SRM to SAV

  • Rename .srm to .sav

  • Just copy over the .sav file
The SAV / SRM file has exactly the same name as the rom. It is in the SAVER folder. Creating a new game on the EZ Flash, saving and restarting let's me reload that save, so it's not like generally broken.

Any help?

I found a workaround, not great, but it works:

  • Get visualboyadvanace-m (I am on a Mac)

  • Rename .srm to .sav

  • Start the rom

  • Click File -> Import -> Battery file and choose the .sav, confirming the warning

  • Click Emulation -> Restart and check if your save game loads (if not, sorry I'm lost)

  • This step might not be necessary, but I did it to be sure: save in game

  • Click File -> Export -> Battery file and save as .sav

  • Copy the new .sav file to the SAVER directory of EZ Flash

  • Make sure the .sav has the exact same file name as your rom (except the extension)

  • Start game of EZ Flash, it should load your save game

  • Again, I immediately saved in game, just to be sure
