I'm 99% sure I have the codes I'm using set up correctly. When I load up the game through Gecko 1.9.3, it says it applies the cheats, but the game plays as if no cheats were applied at all. When I load up the game through Ocarina, the wii just freezes up in a black screen.

I find this strange since codes for every other game I tried work perfectly, but they don't seem to work at all for Twilight Princess v1.
Can anyone help?

Then I would say that the cheats you are trying to use are incorrect or wrong region.

definitely agree with above.

i had this happen when i tried some codes for games that i forgot were out of region.

worst part was, it took a while for me to figure this out.

sometimes the easiest explanation is the hardest to figure out.

I'm pretty sure the codes are for the right region and right version. I just double-checked.
They might be badly written, I guess, but I got them from the geckocodes database, so I was assuming they were official.

Sad but true, its harder to come up with a easier solution.

An example is ModMii, easy solution and I guess Xflak have put down alot of hours for it.
