HI, I dont usually join up to a forum just to ask for help so i apologise for that. However since ive just modded my wii im sure il be stuicking around :-) and i have tried HARD to fix this myself.

Ok well i softmodded my wii using this guide---> http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/60921-guide-softmod-any-wii.html

The wii was on 4.3E I used the bathax method and follwed the guide to the letter. All went smoothly.

I didnt uypdate my ios because of this message
If you would like to update your wii ios- NOT needed for 4.3 wiis

Ok so when i try to load a backup in neogamma i just get read error 1167.
I have checked the serial in wiidrive and its fine for playing backups. (its an old wii)
Tried two different types of media. Im 99% sure the iso and burns are good.
The media i used works flawlessly for ps2 backups so i dont think that is the problem.
Neo gamma reports version as is wrote in the title of this thread.

Any ideas?? Im really stuck on this one.
Many thanks for a reply :-)
    Regards
    Nick

Is the media -R ?? +R disc need to be booktyped first, otherwise they don't work in ur Wii.

Use the latest NeoGamma, it has better error messages:

Either the drive is too new, you are using DVD+R without bitsetting or you have bad burns. Well that's how it looks to me right now.

Well this wii has been in the house since 2009 and its older than that so im pretty sure it has an old drive in it. I know the iso's are good and im using imageburn to write and verify the disks, no errors. I burn ps2 and 360 games fine so im pretty sure thats not it.
Maybe its just a drive that is picky about the media. Il have to try verbs.
So as far as the software goes im all updated and ready to go?
