Do NOT buy an AK2i! They are unsupported on newer firmwares and have horrible contact issues.
Buy something like this: http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=476
It is the best non SCDS2 flashcard and has great support & no contact issues.
AND nds-card.com is the Temp's sponsor! Buy from there and support our site! Also, they have a condition-less return policy

My bad! The google results on gba temp recommending acekard are very old! I just want to stay away from r4 cards beceasure they're so heavily cloned and dstwo is to expensive...

Everything you could possibly need to know about which flashcart you need.

The AceKard used to be a really good flashcart, but the chip on the card that held the firmware updates ran out of space, so no more updates. The contact issues were fixible, but they we're really annoying.

Also, don't feel bad, I got on the AceKard boat about 6 months before the updates ran out, so I know first hand how much it sucks not to be able to use it on an updated DSi/3DS

EDIT: Since you are using a DS Lite, I still recommend the R4i Gold 3DS as mentioned before, but you could also get an AceKard 2.1 (they ONLY work on DS/lite and didn't have any of the 2i's problems

I found this one http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=450

Does it work on ds lite?

And does it support wood firmware?
And are dual core flash cards much better?

thanks for the answers

The dual core doesn't do crap as far as I know, as I'm pretty sure it's just a marketing ploy.
Any flashcart should work on a DS lite that's sold today, since the DS lite's authentication system isn't very good.
Now, there are so many fake Wood R4 versions which have nothing to do with me. Only Wood R4 for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com), and AK RPG are supported by me. I can only fix bugs for these specific releases. Do not post bug reports or ask for updates for clone cards running a fake version of Wood.
So, no.
