Hacking Can you update with SX OS and not burn fuses?

I know they have burn protection, but does it save fuses after a update, I have a 1.0 switch, and I'd like to update, but I don't wanna use the real long guide, or worry about booting games, pretty much I'm asking if I do a nand back up, and enable fuse protection, can I restore it?

Nope, fuse protection is only enabled from SX, if u download and install a update in HOS, it will reboot into the NX bootloader.

U need to use Rajkostos method now.

Same principle, as long as it installs from Horizon the fuses get burned since it reboots into the NX bootloader. The only way is to manually insert a update into your own backup and restore it.
